An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above..

This beautiful retreat is a haven for walkers, nature lovers or for a romantic getaway, perfectly situated in the Cambrian Mountains.

Two 18th-century converted stone barns set in a private valley, 1200ft up in the Cambrian Mountains, and situated on a smallholding with 24 acres of forest, ancient trees, little streams, natural gardens and adjoining 2000 acres of heather-clad moorland. The properties are situated in the grounds of the old farmhouse, in which the owners live. A haven for nature lovers, walkers, those seeking tranquillity and couples looking for a romantic hideaway. This is a private and peaceful setting, far away from the noise of traffic and the stress of city life. Surrounded by the border towns of Knighton, Presteigne, Ludlow, Leominster and Hay-on-Wye, this is a wonderful base to explore this diverse and flourishing region. There is also a great folk and country music scene locally. The coast can be reached within 1 hour 20 minutes.
Alpine Cottage (OF2) is a stunning ’chalet barn’, which boasts atmospheric interiors, a beautiful greenhouse/garden breakfast room and a writers desk. Forest View Barn (OF6) is a beautiful converted barn which has a large oak dining table, antique chairs and a writers desk with inspirational views. Both properties include a variety of books and board games, and have shared use of an undercover area for storing bicycles. Shop and pub 3 miles.

This is the perfect getaway. The cottage is oozing with character and perfectly placed to explore lots of beautiful walks. There isn't much nearby so you will need a car but the seclusion is the best thing about it. I particularly enjoyed the Aga and the woodburning stove. Very relaxing and would return. Thanks Tom and Rodi!

The location and cottage were fantastic. As a family it was a great place to unwind - the children settled in without all their gadgets and found plenty to do in the great outdoors! We had everything we needed in the cottage. We brought some food supplies and then bought all the fresh food from the Tescos in Newtown. Easily done and then could relax. Great walks along Offa's Dyke, starting in Knighton. Took picnics and marvelled at the views! Guests staying in the yurts and cabins were all very friendly and it was nice to pass the time of day with other people.

Lovely place, hosts were amazing. Tom was friendly, informative and made us feel very welcome if we had any issues during our stay. Overall the barn is beautiful inside and out and the tracks getting to it are pretty good.
