Little Tern is a lovely little cottage for a restful break by the sea. It is really close to the beach and dunes and a great costal walk to see the amazing seals and their pups at nearby Horsey. The village is very welcoming and pet friendly. It has a great fish and chip shop, pub and restaurant (with huge food portions), very cute (and amazing food and value for money) beach cafe ('Dunes') and a convenience store. The cottage was clean and had lots of personal and thoughtful touches (such as the welcome pack with biscuits, wine and milk). Amanda came to check if we were ok too and was very friendly. The wood burner and fuel was a great added bonus for a cosy evening. The enclosed garden was great for the dog too. The only negatives were the neighbours 3 dogs barked every time anyone approached (day and night), but they were very friendly so I feel bad mentioning it but think it is important to know. Also the beds were not very comfortable (but others had said they liked them soft) and difficult to get into as the double bedroom (leading to the twin room) was only just wider than the bed. The space was not a problem for us but may be if you had mobility issues.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for the lovely comments as always we appreciate it. The property next door is a holiday home hence the dogs are only occasional visitors.

Beaches great, and very important small enclosed garden for dogs. Wet room. Nice kitchen, all on one level, so no stairs hurrah, and lovely to have a wood burner for cosy evenings. Friendly and good local chippy, and pub (vegetarian menu limited on choice and ideas.) Lovely cottage, and easy access, would go again

Would be a squeeze for 4 adults as only a 2 seater settee and chair in the living room. Little room to manoeuvre around the slightly soft (personal taste) double bed. The twin bedded room is access through the double. Missing a dishwasher, but, otherwise a well appointed, very clean and tidy place to stay. The garden is private as only one other house.

Winterton was a super choice for the holiday. Little Tern was a well equipped, immaculate home for the week.We enjoyed the wonderfully thoughtful welcome pack , wine ,milk and goodies. The settee in lounge and the double bed were very comfy, although trying to get around the double bed was somewhat awkward because it's in a small space. The new digital Television had perfect reception ....getting I player was brilliant! The instructions in the cottage folder were very clear and helpful.I needed a pamphlet on working the oven first off though but I did get it sussed. The shared driveway could do with some paving slabs as it is rather muddy on wet days . We hope to go back again next year but noted that it does get taken very quickly so we must remember that.

We had a lovely stay . Hosts were very attentive and kind. Accomodation was lovely and clean and had literally evetything anyone could need; including an unexpected welcome pack. This was very welcome after a long journey. Loved the log burner too and was glad we were able to bring our furry freinds.

Fantastic location in a perfectly lovely coastal village. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful, with little extras such as a 'goodie basket' and a vase of fresh flowers making it a bit more speial

Cosy cottage ideally situated in pretty village of Winterton on Sea. Sand dunes and dog friendly beach a few minutes walk away. Small supermarket, fish and chip shop, post office and pub/restaurant a similar distance. Enclosed garden. Ideal for a couple or small family. Highlight of our break was seeing newly born seal pups on the beach at Horsey.

We had a really good time at the secluded quiet Little Tern. Fantastic walks for dogs and humans. Saw seals at Horsey Gap and great ride on the boar at Horsey to see the birds.

We spent a lovely week at Little Tern at the end of August. We were really impressed by the cottage - it was clean, well-equipped and in a great location. The welcome pack was delightful too!
