Peaceful, rural location, this property is perfect for that romantic break.

Little Morvoren is a delightful, single-storey, converted stable situated in the small hamlet of Trevegean, an idyllic retreat for all nature lovers and gardeners. Set in its own sub-tropical private garden, it has access to a further beautiful garden, and beyond, a small wildflower meadow with a summerhouse. From here, there are panoramic views over World Heritage ancient fields, the Isles of Scilly and the sea. Facing west, there are spectacular sunsets, and at night the light from five lighthouses can be seen. The small town of St Just, with all its amenities, is only a few minutes’ drive away. The surfing beaches of Sennen, The Minack Theatre, Lands End, the pretty fishing village of Mousehole and St Michaels Mount are all nearby. The Isles of Scilly can be reached from Lands End Airport, or ferry from Penzance. Many galleries, including The Tate St Ives, abound in the area continuing a rich tradition of arts and crafts.

The cottage is prettily decorated in the cottage style and the garden is a magnet for birds and butterflies and is tastefully laid out.

We were lucky with the weather which enabled us to enjoy the locality. We loved the garden and the view across the fields to the sea but the peace was spoilt by the noise from the nearby airfield. Because Little Morvoren is a converted farm building the design was such that the bathroom and bedroom are uncomfortably small. There was so little storage room in the bedroom that we had to live out of our suitcase on the floor. There was a good selection of books and DVDs and some of the artwork was pleasing. However we found cobwebs in the cupboards and some of the crockery was not clean. We had the opinion that the cottage content was in need of an update and perhaps a small dishwasher would be more useful than the existing washing machine. We enjoyed our stay but didn't feel we could recommend it to friends.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Little Morvoren was an old stable that was converted to living accommodation by us some twenty years ago. The furniture is predominately antique with interesting pictures and curios on the walls and shelves. In the bedroom, cases can be slid under the brass bedstead and there is a small dressing table and medium wardrobe for hanging clothes. In the living area is a large cupboard with room for any other clothes. Every effort is made to ensure that Little Morvoren is immaculately clean and tidy for our visitors upon their arrival. Lands' End airport is over a mile away and small planes fly a few times a day to The Isles of Scilly.
