Description

Linney Cottage offers accommodation all on the ground floor and has shared use of a games room, perfect for all ages to have fun together.

Nestling just 200 yards from a little cove leading to a wide sandy beach with rock pools at low tide, a range of traditional farm buildings have been lovingly converted to create seven delightfully bright and very comfortable cottages. Decorations and a tree are provided for Christmas and New Year bookings. Furnished in smart modern style yet retaining much local charm and individuality, they sit within the Pembrokeshire National Park right on the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast Path – perfect for bird watchers and walkers as well as bucket and spade family holidays. Numerous other prize winning beaches lie within easy reach, dolphins and seals are often spotted in St Bride’s Bay, and riding on the beach at East Nolton is a delight, 7 miles. The area’s water sports are especially good with sea fishing, sailing, diving, surfing and windsurfing at Broad Haven, 5 miles and Dale, 3 miles whilst golf is available at Milford Haven, 6 miles and Haverfordwest – a medieval town just 10 miles distant and home to a castle, good shopping and entertainments – and at St Davids. This tiny jewel of a cathedral city boasts great restaurants and cafés and a major music festival held in May. A cheese farm, woollen mill and lively theme parks are under 20 miles. Golf is within 5 miles of the property. Shops 6 miles, pub 1.5 miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 3 bedrooms: 2 double, one with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet, 1 twin. Wet room with toilet.

Cot. Washing machine. Dishwasher.

All properties: Electric heaters, underfloor central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. High chair. DVD. Microwave. Shared coin-operated tumble dryer. Shared use of freezer. Wi-fi. Huge barn conversion in quiet, picturesque location. Lovely playground for the children as well as a play room with lots of toys, games and books. It was very clean and tidy and the site manager was friendly and very helpful. We'd definitely stay here again.

The owner of the cottage was very helpful but found the cottage more suitable for disabled people the equipment in the kitchen and bathroom need attention the taps and shower wasn't working properly and the beds need replacing.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We appreciate feedback but were a little surprised that our onsite team were not contacted with any issues which could have been addressed. The complex was designed in line with the DDI requirements to ensure that disabled guests were equally welcome. In respect of Linney Cottage, this resulted in flat thresholds, wider doors and a wet room specification for the main bathroom in addition to a conventional bathroom. Most guests see this as an enhancement and is very much appreciated by guests confined to a wheelchair. The inventory is regularly checked and sufficient stock kept onsite to replenish or indeed add to the normal provisions at guest’s request. The water pressure point will be immediately investigated. We have not had any complaints regarding the beds but will be reviewing the comment and taking appropriate action.

The Cottage was clean, spacious and well appointed. I had to sleep in the twin room to escape my friend's snoring in the adjacent double and found the bed increasingly uncomfortable as the week went on, with a lumpy mattress. My friend was not too impressed by the range and sizes of pans etc. in the kitchen but perhaps most people eat out these days. The views and the peaceful surroundings together with the beauty of the County and the friendliness of the people made up for this.

Lovely cottage with beautiful views, we have stayed in lots of cottages usually in Cornwall & they usually provide a welcome pack which has a few tea bags, coffee & milk this is the first cottage that hasn't provided anything

Many issues on arrival including no hot water or heating ( two days elapsed before it was sorted). In the 'Wet Room' the Shower flexi-pipe was leaking badly and need replacing, the toilet cistern in the same room wasn't working and needed to be replaced. The mattresses in the twin room were not supportive enough and uncomfortable for an adult. The managers on site were very helpful and sorted things out but the issues should not have occurred in the first place
