A delightful cottage with outstanding views. We didn't mind the variable weather having such a lovely place to stay in.

A fine cottage, with a specially well-equipped, spacious kitchen. Only one small bathroom is a slight handicap, as is having to pay for electricity with an old fashioned coin-in-the-meter. Splendid garden, good views. Heating requires some learning, but works. We chose to use the coal fire and enjoyed it, but of course it requires considerable effort. WiFi/phone signals not good.

Lovely cottage but not very clean, I had to dust and clean the bathroom before we settled in. The catches on the windows were either broken or unstable. The outside chairs were all broken so we couldn't sit out. Really nice location and with a little bit of care and attention it could be just perfect. Controls on the Night Storage Radiator in the living room are broken so there is no control.

We had a lovely week at this cottage and very lucky with the weather! Sunbathed at the back door and soaked up the stunning view! The cottage was well equipped and comfortable and cosy. The seating and beds were all good - very necessary for a restful holiday. Though warned in the reviews about the meter and the storage heaters, we made sure we had a handful of £1 coins (we used surprisingly few!) we lit the fire each night. Coal and/or logs, kindling and fire lighters are available all over the island in co-ops, Spar shops and petrol stations. The electric blankets made the beds lovely and warm so none of the above was a problem. (We got a small bag of coal at the Spar shop in Mallaig while we waited for the ferry! Well positioned for pubs restaurants, places of interest and beautiful walks. We would recommend this cottage and would certainly return! Did I mention the stunning views.........?

Comfortable cottage in a great location with a fantastic view. Well equipped. Very helpful caretaker and lovely to have some basic provisions when we arrived. As well as being in a beautiful spot, you could walk to the local hotel which does good basic pub food and also to the village shop. We found night storage heaters were too inflexible for the changing weather patterns on Skye.
