Set in a pretty village, this charming barn conversion is an ideal base for exploring the local attractions in Wiltshire and Somerset.

These single storey semi-detached holiday cottages (refs 26209 and 26210) are located in an AONB, 6 miles south of Bath, and on the edge of the picturesque village of Faulkland. The village has useful amenities including two pubs, a post office and village shop, and there is a lovely green complete with old wooden stocks and the now famous Somerset Lavender farm. The location is ideal for exploring the attractions in Wiltshire and Somerset, including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, Glastonbury Tor, the beautiful cathedral in Wells, Stourhead House and Gardens, Stonehenge and Longleat Safari Park. Just 15 minutes from the centre of Bath, where you can visit the Roman Baths, Thermae Spa, the Royal Crescent, the abbey, or just enjoy the unique shops, cafés, galleries, museums and restaurants. Shop and pub 1/2 mile.

Lovely cottage to stay for a few days. It is quite remote which is ideal for a quiet getaway. The hosts were friendly and helpful and we had no difficulty in finding places to eat but some could be far away if you want to eat something beyond pub meals. The cottage is very well equipped and has all the amenities you would expect, in addition has a washer dryer and dish washer. Usually both bedrooms are ensuite. We would definitely return if we ever go back that way.

Not much room in kitchen due to table taking up so much of these space, but, not sure if a smaller table would be big enough. Plenty of crockery and of good quality. Bathrooms on the small side and need some general repair to bring them up to standard. Shower had hot water, but bath slow to fill and only very lukewarm water Good televisions in all rooms. WiFi free and good coverage
