Description

Located in an Area of Natural Beauty, this barn conversion enjoys stunning views and its set near great local amenities.

These single storey semi-detached holiday cottages (refs 26209 and 26210) are located in an AONB, 6 miles south of Bath, and on the edge of the picturesque village of Faulkland. The cottages are built in the converted stable buildings of this former farm and retain original features including beams and exposed stone walls. Both enjoy stunning southerly views over the garden and beyond. The village has useful amenities including two pubs, a post office and village shop, and there is a lovely green complete with old wooden stocks and the now famous Somerset Lavender farm. The location is ideal for exploring the attractions in Wiltshire and Somerset, including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, Glastonbury Tor, the beautiful cathedral in Wells, Stourhead House and Gardens, Stonehenge and Longleat Safari Park. Just 15 minutes from the centre of Bath, where you can visit the Roman Baths, Thermae Spa, the Royal Crescent, the abbey, or just enjoy the unique shops, cafés, galleries, museums and restaurants. Shop and pub 1/2 mile.

All on ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. 2 double (5ft) bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom with shower attachment and toilet, 2 steps up to one with additional single and en-suite shower room with toilet.

Both properties: Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Shared lawned garden. Patio and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. No smoking.

I would happily recommend staying at the Dairy. The owners are very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make us welcome. The accommodation is spotless and very well equipped. The weather was on the wet side but we still managed to walk into the village over the fields and my granddaughters loved seeing the horses every day.

We had a really lovely short break at the dairy. It really is a beautiful location and the dairy is even better than it looks on the photographs. Lots of space, cosy and comfortable.

The location was really lovely. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The position of the cottage was so convienent for all of the must see places in Somersets, whether Lacock, Chedder, Brad on Avon, Glastonbury or the beautiful cities of Wells and Bath. The local pubs were both friendly and clean, serving both good drink and fresh fine food. The cottage had everything you needed, The shower and bathroom were both of a high standard. Kitchen well equiped, with a heating system that was so easy to both use and control. It was so comfortable whether enjoying a meal outside, dining in, watching TV or of course the oh so comfortable bed. The owners were both helpful, informative and very pleasent. We would recommend this holiday cottage for every reason that you could think of that makes a holiday complete. We are sure to return.
