Description

After a day spent exploring the many attractions nearby, relax in your very own hot tub.

This impeccably presented, detached, character holiday property has a private, west-facing rear garden with its own hot tub and is 2 minutes away from Shelley Park. The cliff top leading down to the 7 miles of golden sandy beaches at Bournemouth is just 300 yards from the property. Lilac Cottage is set within a quiet residential area and is ideally situated, with much to offer the whole family. Boscombe has a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance, and its pier is home to the UK’s first artificial surfing reef, whilst Bournemouth town centre is 1½ miles away. Take a ride on the Bournemouth Eye, which rises high above the town to give the most amazing panoramic views over the whole area. At the foot of the pier is the fascinating Oceanarium, where the whole family can discover life beneath the waves. Compton Acres in Bournemouth and the delightful Exbury Gardens, 18 miles, are both worth a visit, as is Beaulieu, with its world-renowned National Motor Museum, Palace House and Beaulieu Abbey, 20 miles. Other places of interest include Farmer Palmer’s, Adventure Wonderland, Christchurch priory town, Hengistbury Head, Mudeford Key, Poole Harbour, Highcliffe Castle and the National Trust’s Brownsea Island. Beach 300 yards. Shop and pub 200 yards.

We had family from the USA & Scotland staying with us for at Lilac Cottage for our granddaughter's wedding near Christchurch. The accommodation was ideal for that purpose and much enjoyed.

The whole family, grandparents, children and grandchildren enjoyed the stay to celebrate Grandad's birthday. The Games Room and Hot Tub were particularly welcome additions to a well equipped, spacious and well appointed property. Everyone enjoyed the weekend in glorious weather and we were only sorry we couldn't stay longer. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Myself and a group of friends stayed Lilac Cottage mid March for a weekend away. Lisa the owner was very accommodating and fantastic at giving information about the local area and places to visit. She couldn't have been more helpful. The house was very well equipped with all the household things you'd need for the weekend. We decided to stay in the first night and have a take out and mini house party. There was plenty of cutlery and plates to go round, the hot tub was an absolute bonus! The second day/night we spent most of our time in Bournemouth town, only a less than 10 minute drive away, with reasonable cab fares. Us girls really enjoyed the comfort and attention to detail in the house, making it a perfect place for a get away. We would absolutely recommend this house for anyone. It was great not to stay in the middle of town as it meant we were able to have peace and quiet but only a short drive away from Bournemouth. Thank you Lisa for making the weekend perfect and really providing so much for us. Me and the girls want to come back!

We had a great time at Lilac Cottage. The owner was very accommodating and the facilities on offer were excellent. Even the weather was OK for February and the hot tub was a really fun way of getting warmed through.
