our fourth and last stay at Lilac cottage disappointed us - it had been two and a half years since our last stay and we feel a degree of updating is needed - the electric shower is a real challenge, the TV/DVD is out of date and far too small, the radio/CD needs replacing - the brochures etc have just been added to year on year and need sorting out as many are out of date - the pot holes in the lane are dangerous - we had difficulty using the waching machine but eventually worked it out - i lleft two phone messages re this but never got a call back, if only to check we were ok we were frustrated that following Monday and the arrival of people in the adjoining cottage that we were told the heating would have to be on continually - we turned off what radiators we could and opened windows we didn't feel like we were paying guests, just guests

Fantastic few days away, the cottage was perfect. It seemed everything had been thought off, and was warm, cosy and welcoming.

Fab 8 nights. Dog loved it with lots of room to walk. Loved the open fire and supplies of coal and logs. Owners really pleasant and helpful. Can't wait to go back next year.
