This is an amazing you can't believe how fantastic the views from the sitting room is! Domme is a beautiful medieval village and everthing is easily walkable! Just a couple of negatives! 1. Most of the cottages we have stayed in before have basic cleaning chemicals ie. 1 or 2 dishwasher tabs or at least a small amount of washing up liquid! Maybe bathroom cleaner! Also it is appreciated if salt & pepper is left. There was nothing at all left and we arrived late Saturday with some provisions but not those basics and it is a nightmare trying to buy anything other than bread on a Sunday in France! The other issue is the beds - main double and twin bedroom with valley views very uncomfortable and need new mattresses! We need to put the double mattress on the floor which wasn't great and our daughters moved into the back twin which was fine. Anyway this didn't really spoil our stay as everything else exceeded our expectations! We holidayed mid Sept and just to forewarn others things shut up early in Domme and the Restaurants closed early, in fact even in Sarlat everything is done and dusted by 10:00pm!

Our second visit here and just as lovely as we remembered it. Before we stayed with another family (8 of us) and our children were all under 12. Now, 12 years later we returned with our sons and a girlfriend all in their 20's (5 of us). The house is comfortable and has fantastic views and the pool is perfect on a hot day. On the edge of the town, it takes just minutes to walk into the centre for bakers and restaurants and it is well located near the Dordogne river and local attractions.
