We didn't actually stay here but my sister and brother in law did while they helped us move. It's a lovely cottage and beautifully equipped. Karen and Liz made them very welcome. There was a slight problem with a heating switch but the fire was kept lit which meant that the cottage was warm at night for them to return to. The bedroom with two single beds might have been a bit cramped for us if we had kept to our original plans to stay there too. We loved the way this cottage has been made to be so dog friendly so hope we shall be booking to stay there ourselves when we return for visits.

Fantastic - don't want to say how lovely as it maybe fully booked next time we want to go! Lovely walks by river and on moors by foot from cottage. All details and equipment carefully thought out and supplied in cottage. Husband and grandpa enjoyed looking after the cosy coal burner stove! Only downside, no shop in village but supermarket only 15mins away.

Lovely. No negatives at all. One of the best cottages we have stayed in and we have stayed in quite a lot.

Lack of wardrobe space in the property. Only 1 wardrobe in the master bedroom for use of all occupants! Family of 4 or more would have to hang clothes in drying room. The cottage is large and the added extras included starter pack of milk, coffee, tea and sugar a nice surprise. The cottage was warm and the beds comfortable. Within easy reach of the lakes and North Pennines.
