We loved the cottage and had a lovely weekend away. We felt it was a bit harsh being asked to leave on the Sunday by 10am. We were only at the cottage for the weekend so a 10am departure meant that we didn't really have time for a leisurely get up and breakfast on the Sunday. It was all quite rushed. Arriving after work on the Friday, and coping with heavy traffic on the way, meant we were at the cottage at 9pm, so in effect we only really had 1 day there. It was a lot of money for 1 day stay. When we asked about the 10am deadline, we were given a further 30 min!

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. The checkout time is 10am as stated both in the booking conditions and on the guests booking details. The cleaning is done to a high standard which takes time to do as well as prepare the property for the next guests. I do feel I had been lenient in giving an extra half an hour for these guests to get ready.

Bullock Lodge - Lea Farm, Peasmarsh Great cottage to stay at with dogs. Clean, great kitchen and living room facilities, helpful owner, secure garden for dogs and lots of dog walking potential (sheep permitting). We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful cottage set on farmland. Perfect for dogs as had secure garden. Lovely rooms and very cosy. Relaxing weekend. Little far out from shops and restaurants but that's what we wanted for the weekend so all good.

Mrs Reeve has thought of everything, there were even hair driers in both bedrooms, a basket in the shower to house shampoo etc. These are small things but they are the differenct between a good stay and a brilliant one. The entire lodge has been put together with very good taste. The setting is superb with spectacular views. I would not hesitate in going back, but this time for a longer period and maybe during lambing season.

Super cottage in a great location. A real "home from home", ideal for our dog and child to enjoy without worries of traffic. 6 minutes drive from a daily stroll on Camber Sands made this an ideal location for those looking for a "chill out" from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The view across the fields, with the wildlife and the daily visits from the sheep was a great way of starting the day. The most amazing stars to be seen at night, giving a real appreciation of a location away from populated areas. The fact this is a working farm gives you a real appreciation for how hard these owners work managing the farm and cottages. They do an amazing job and deserve real credit for creating such a great place to escape to. Thank you for a great week, we are already planning our return visit!

Brilliant location, so many places to visit. Close to pub (10 mins walk) with reasonable food and good ale! Close to supermarket (a short drive - 10 mins). Nothing but peace and quiet. Beautiful countryside and sheep for company. Plenty of National Trust properties to visit and others too. Not enough time in a week to see them all! Would highly recommend this property.

This was our 2nd stay at Bullock Lodge. Not as positive as our first. The oven and some of the crockery was dirty, we feel some of this should be checked before being let. Owner not initially very sympathetic when hot water failed at 9 p.m. on a hot sticky day with daughter in the shower, but her son ensured problem was fixed as soon as possible , but without hot water for nearly 2 days. An extra kettle to boil hot water for a bath would have been useful.
