We had stayed in the house two years before so we knew our way around. A couple of suggested improvements? 1) There was no explanation of the workings of the hot water system or any of the electrical items / storage heaters. Generally in holiday properties we have used this is standard, along with useful numbers (e.g. nearest GP / hospital in case of emergencies - not everyone has a mobile phone which has a signal in the cottage/area). 2) Check out the noise from the windows (especially the kitchen) when the wind blows, and it wasn't exactly a gale when we stayed. Otherwise, our comments are as per the visitors' book. We had a great week in Northumberland.

We found the cottage well equipped with everything we needed. There is a nearby garage with well stocked shop and post office. It was a great venue for our walking holiday as it is easy to get to the National Park. We would have liked some help in managing the wood burning stove, which seemd to either burn furiously or go out. The stove is needed during cold weather, otherwise the lounge is cold.
