In most respects, this property was a little gem. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The living area, dining room, kitchen bathroom and en-suite were separate from each other along a hallway with another bedroom upstairs - a regular home from home. There was UK satellite TV, DVDs and a small entertainment system, a collection of books and much local information in the lounge. The kitchen was well-equipped with fridge-freezer, oven, hob, microwave and washing machine and there was an ample amount of tableware. The small garden to the rear has a covered dining area. On the down side, the supplied barbecue is nearing the end of its useful life and the surrounding trees meant that, out of season, the sun was largely hidden, which made the house very cold and washing hard to dry. The surrounding area offers many delights, not least of which are the many accessible vineyards to the north and some delightful local markets. Go to Issigeac and Eymet twice - once for the market and once to appreciate the wonderful buildings when it's quiet! Further afield, the Château de Bonaguil and Latour-Marliac, now home of the national water lily collection that formerly supplied Claude Monet are well worth a visit. Lauzun itself is a very small town yet unlike many such it still has refreshment facilities and shops for essential supplies. The park is worth a visit and the château is open in the summer. Be advised that at the time of writing, the property is for sale and may be visited by potential buyers. Also, wasps can be a problem.

Spacious and conveniently located cottage with small sun trap garden area. Property a little tired overall but this was reflected in the price, so good value for money.

Good location, conveniently in the village but still feel like you are tucked away. Cottage very comfortable and equipped with good kitchen facilities, cottage also had TV, DVD and CD player. Nice to sit outside when the sun shone although the sun loungers could have been better. Beds very comfy and bathrooms small but fine. The bedrooms are a bit on the pokey side not helped by the lack of windows but overall this was a very comfortable and nice cottage which we would be happy to stay in again.
