Throughly enjoyed our stay. With two dogs, this place was great for walks and location. The owner allowed us to walk through her farm and she let us see a 12 hour old calf!!!! The cottage has been discribed as dated by others in feedback here but disagree. I would say it was homely, country cottage with a comfort feel. Lots of space, food comfy beds and bathroom suited our family needs.

An excellent holiday. The cottage was just what we expected. Only real gripe was the squeeky bed which tended to wake up other members of the party when we turned over. We put up an extra washing line. Superb position. Very quiet and Fiona at the farm was superb. No problem recommending this cottage to friends. The bath was a problem for the wife who uses a wheelchair.

Lovely cottage in an ideal location for sightseeing in the border countries. Decor a bit dated but that suited us because it was clean and comfortable. Kitchen equipment was a bit random, could have done with a couple more cooking dishes and pans to match lids but we managed. Outdoor chairs and table were ideal for dining but not very comfortable to sit and relax on. Owners very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to book property again.

The cottage is very 'tired' and needs a complete update. We were very disappointed with the general cleanliness and the kitchen and equipment was dirty. I spent an afternoon giving everything a good clean. Electric air freshness everywhere are not a good sign! The garden was very neglected and we felt enough was done both inside and out to just meet basic standards. We have been renting holiday cottages 3 or 4 times a year for the past 12 years and this cottage was of a very poor standard and one of the worst we have stayed in.

The cottage is in a good location, ideal for touring the Borders and with lovely local walks to the Stone Circle and the battlefield at Flodden. It's ideal for dogs. The owner and her family are warm, welcoming and friendly. We are hoping to go again next year.
