Lanreath is perfect for us. It's big enough for my family to visit. It's close to the people I want to see. The large dog-proof garden is a joy for the dogs. The house itself is very comfortable and it has everything I need. And the house-keeper is really lovely and keen to help (not that I needed anything). Lanreath is wonderful and I'll miss my visits there.

We stayed for 4 nights whilst visiting family in the Forest. Lanreath was ideal for our family with two teenage children and our 7 month old puppy - dog proof garden was a godsend! was very well equipped, decor a little dated but clean and comfortable. The only improvement on comfort would be to provide more comfortable sofas in the garden room given this was where we spent most of our time - we did not use the lounge at all. would definitely visit again.

A real home from home with excellent views and a large safe area for the dog. An ideal base for the local area with a coming home feel at the end of the day.

Half the lights in the house did not work, due to a fault in one of the electrical circuits. This was only sorted out after I had reported the fault to the caretaker. The problem was already known about before we arrived. The only local 'amenity' is a pub fifteen minutes walk away. It was spacious for us, we were only 2, with six it would be very crowded.

The property had everything we needed but we didn't like it's location in the close. As Hale was joined to other villages it wasn't really the rural location we thought it was. I would have liked to get my car on the drive but felt the gate was too narrow to risk it. There was plenty of parking in the road though. The conservatory is lovely.

Our 2nd stay at the cottage, welcoming and extremely well positioned for exploring the south coast and surrounding areas. The conservatory is an ideal lounge and dining area, so much so that we had no need to use the main living area. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are excellent with very nice tiled decor. We will definitely be returning.

Very enjoyable stay at Lanreath, quite remote, but very close to dog walking areas either on the forest or village green which suited us very well. Personal contact from the owners and caretaker before arrival were very nice, good wi-fi available in the cottage. We particularly enjoyed the conservatory which overlooks the large back garden.

Quiet, peaceful, superb location. Away from the hustle and bustle of seaside resorts.
