Brilliant place to stay, would definitely recommend to anyone. Outstanding location, hopefully return sometime soon.

Nice, clean cottage in good condition and decently equipped. The cottage is rather small but does have a lovely little patio area. Location was good - close to motorway and to Kendal; although close proximity to dual carriageway (A591) at the back of the cottage rather detracted from the peace on the patio with road noise. The bed was uncomfortably soft for my wife and I but that is of course personal preference. Not a major issue but I do not think that the cottage should advertise itself as having a barbecue when in reality it is a stand for the guest to place a disposable barbecue they must buy themselves!

There was definitely road noise. We were also very disappointed in the cleanliness. Tea towels smelled of smoke, carpet badly stained in lounge, empty toothpaste in bathroom bin, cobwebs everywhere. Stale bread in bread bin!All in all a disappointment!
