We both love the Lake District and have been going to it for a holiday at least once a year for the last 25 odd years. For the last 15 years or so we have either booked this or the next door cottage and have always found them to be the perfect place to stay...warm, cosy and clean with a high balcony and excellent views over Windermere lake that when the weather is not so good, great. Perhaps a little too expensive during the summer months, but off season not too bad. Well situated for either driving through the beautiful scenery and of course for walking and if you are so inclined climbing.

This is an excellent home-from-home. Well furnished and comfortable; quiet and in an excellent position that is a short stroll from the centre of Bowness and an excellent base for exploring the wonderful scenery around Windermere. Very highly recommended indeed.

Good position close to amenities. Parking good which is at a premium in Bowness. Great views but not as much as on photos on site. Most likely trees grown up since photos taken. A few smallish issues re house ie bit of a smell which we could not get rid of even with air freshner, house was very clean. feather pillows but they did have a couple of other not allergenic ones but needed more plus couple other bits. But great lounge plenty seating, great view, lots of things to do. Helpful book by owners giving all sorts of information around area. Something of a problem trying to sort key box out when left, maybe needs a new one! Good place to stay in Lakes.

The apartment was beautifully presented. Every detail in each room was carefully considered. Every thing needed to make it a home from home was available. The views of the lake and surrounding mountains was breath taking. The information file left by the owners was very helpful. Books and leaflets available were also great guides for walks and places of interest to visit.

This is my second stay at Lake View and it never disappoints! The place is vary cosy and "home from home". The views are beautiful and change with the seasons so there is always something to look at. It's only 10 minutes from Bowness on Windermere, in which you have access to all the shops, cafe's and eating places as well as access to the Lake and boat trips. I love the Lake District and never get bored of visiting this place, there is always lot's to do and places to go, Beatrix Potter, Local Park, Ambleside on the boat, there is a Cinema and country houses, (Blackwell Arts and Crafts House, Hill Top, Dove Cottage)etc.
