Ladymoor is a beautiful large family cottage set in a rural and private location away from other dwellings. Being situated right next to the river Seven and with a large garden, it meant that great views and calm surroundings allowed for an enjoyable holiday. However I would point out that the historical leisure Trainline does run directly behind the cottage meaning trains can be heard throughout the day. This was fine for use and we enjoyed it but may not be to everyone's taste. The cottage was of ample size for our party of 10 adults 4 children and 2 babies, with room to spare. Great period features and comfortable furniture on the whole. The only down side was that the master bedroom mattress could do with replacing, as it completely lost its spring/support and was very creaky. Some of the flooring through the cottage could also do with replacing as there were gaps and severe wear in the laminate. On the whole a great property and I would very much stay there again.

Some advice, whilst this is a lovely but somewhat cluttered cottage in a stunning location there may be a catch. After paying an extortionate £50 for 3 days heating we realised this heating was out of our control and actually went off during the day, leaving us all very cold. Communication with the owner is quite a struggle and eventually nearly 24 hours later she arrives and alters the heating ,paying this money should give you control but apparently not!! We also had a shock 2 weeks after we returned home to find the owner had cashed in our £200 damages cheque!!! We had no warning and after another struggle communicating with the owner we were eventually sent pictures of a floor that needed mopping, a dirty chair cover an empty cigarette packet left on a windowsill and a small table with damage to its polish, I also need to say the table was very old with previous obvious damage and scratches. Whilst we are happy to pay for the cleaning of a chair cover,to be charged £200 for general cleaning and a damaged table with no knowledge of this damage is absolutely disgraceful. After constantly asking for proof of the cost of this damage the owner stopped all communication. I have never in all my years of holidays been charged £200 for general cleaning. So failure to mop up and move cigarette packets could leave you very short of money!!!! Absolutely disgusting service

We all had a very enjoyable time at Ladymoor cottage. Jilly was really helpful and looked after everything we needed. The location is beautiful, with the river running alongside, and all amenities are quite modern. Looking forward to our return trip.

It was perfect for our family celebration, 80th birthday. It was very close to a riverside walk. The regular steam trains were a delight to my father in law, and he found the railway muesem interesting. It was a quirky house, plenty of room for all 15 of us. The bathrooms were interesting, with a huge double jacuzzi bath in one. The pool room was a big hit, with lots of games being played. There was plenty of crockery. The only down side was that the electricity kept tripping,we think the cooker just couldn't cope with all the food we were cooking. The house is served by a septic tank so you must only put toilet ppaper , poo and wee in the toilet. All teh beds we slept in were comfortable, and the soft furnishings were of a very high standard. But it was clean, comfortable and my father in law was delighted We would stay again

We had a great time at Ladymoor, it was a family celebration and the house was large enough for our party of 11 adults and our 4 grandchildren. The cottage was very comfortable and I wanted to take the bed we slept in home with me, it was so comfy. I was hoping it would be closer to the village, it was a decent walk, which is no problem but there was no footpath closer to the house and past the railway station, and the traffic up and down was quite fast, it did not feel safe, especially with young children.

An amazing house that absolutely everyone in my party of 15 enjoyed. With a demographic range from 2 years - 70 years of age, there was something at this beautiful propery for everyone. The propery owners were extremely friendly and helpful as we're all the locals we met. If you're looking to take a reasonable sized group away for a holiday in the uk, look no further than Ladymoor.
