Peaceful and pretty location near a town with supermarkets, various eateries and good access to the French motorway network. The cottage is actually 2 cottages both with 1 room on the ground floor. They are linked by a door way that is stepped and not that wide but adequate. The kitchen is suitably equipped but only as clean as the previous occupants will have left it although. This is a family home and it shows, its feels relaxed and unfussy in a nice way. The lounge is large and comfortable. There are numerous DVD's, games and books, a Playstation 2 with games plus a spare tv upstairs that became my boy's den for the fortnight. Both downstairs rooms have a separate staircase, each leading to 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The bedrooms are quite basic but adequate. With no light pollution it's very dark at night and we all found we slept well here. The hot water system works really well. No running out of hot water here! Bed linen was advertised as 12 Euros per person. However if you want a double bed for 1 person its expected you will pay for 2 peoples bedding. This wasn't made clear and should be. Be warned or just always share a double! The garden is large with fantastic views down the valley. There are no neighbours so noise is never an issue. The pool is above the surface mainly. Its not very deep and great for kids. We did spend a lot of time rescuing cricket's from the water. The garden furniture has seen better days and badly needs some TLC. Given the size and location I would say this cottage was good value. I'd use it again I'm sure.
