We gad a wonderful holiday at la range. It was a perfect place to spend with our family. We was there for a week and only left the house on 1 day to visit the beach. The pool totally kept our children entertained. We will definitely be going back there!

We have never visited this region before and we thought it was lovely. The gite is set in an extremely open aspect - very flat with channels of water and ponds surrounding it. We regularly saw otters and herons nearby. It is very peaceful but easy to access the nearest towns. We loved Challans and Machecoul (10mins) and the coastal town of Pornic(40 mins). The beach at Fromentine is perfect. However, you can't really walk anywhere from the gite. The gite has a great layout, with the bedrooms furthest away from the living areas and terrace. We liked the large dining area and lounge. All bedrooms are simply furnished and all but one good sizes. One double was a bit of a squeeze for two adults. Lovely views from all windows and comfy beds. Spa bath was a nice treat and the shower was OK but another shower would have been very useful - especially when we all returned from the beach or got out of the pool. We all loved the pool, it's a good size with wide steps a one end to sit and relax on. We found the night lights for the pool half way through the holiday, which the boys loved! Swimming in the dark was great. In terms of equipment, as a family who enjoy cooking, the kitchen had lots of crockery, cutlery etc but lacked some things eg a cheese grater. There's not a lot of workspace but it is modern and nice to be in. The parasols were really useful during our sweltering fortnight but were broken in places and could do with replacing. The Weber BBQ was excellent and two fridge freezers very handy! The open aspect of the gite was lovely but the sun was fierce and at times too hot to sit in. A covered terrace/awning would be a lovely addition to this property. We had a lovely holiday and would definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! Very private and away from the hustle and bustle. (Might not suit people who want to be closer to amenities but suited our needs perfectly.) Slightly shocked at our utility bill. Far higher than we'd anticipated. Still, we would all book to stay their again as it was the perfect size for our families and the pool was wonderful. Stunning views of hay bales and wildlife. We would happily recommend it to others.
