This is an excellent place to stay. The places was clean, extremely well equipped and the owner was very helpful without being in the way. The facilities are excellent, location spot on and the local area well worth exploring.

A lovely quiet little village (though not picture postcard). The house itself is very nice with lots to do if a rainy day hits, the games room is a magnificent feature to the property, there is also an outside brick-built bbq, french boules, table tennis table and volleyball/badminton net and Messr. Legrand provides cycles should you fancy a ride into the village which is easily walkable in 10 minutes. You do need a car to get about and you definitely need to brush up on your French language. St. Omer, Boulogne and nearby Rando Rail (a must visit) are easily reached by car. Messr. Legrand is a lovely, friendly man and is available next door should you hit any problems. We enjoyed our holiday very much and would recommend it as a very nice base, have a relaxed start to the day then drive to the nearby attractions and back for a lovely relaxed bbq or dinner on the patio's huge outdoor table - C'est la vie.

We enjoyed a wonderful week's holiday; the farmhouse is a welcoming, comfortable and homely place to stay. The extra living space is a bonus, especially for children and teenagers, and there are lots of games/activities to keep everyone happy and busy. We liked walking to the village boulangerie each morning for tasty croissants and pains au chocolat. You need a car to visit nearby towns - there are plenty of lovely places and lots to see within an hour's drive. This is a perfect location for visiting Great War sites and for experiencing France at a gentle pace, away from tourist crowds. We would recommend staying here and we'd love to return one day.

The cottage was beautiful very authentic. Wonderful garden and the games room was a welcome distraction for my teenage son. The cottage was well equipped with everything you could need and nothing was too much to ask if Monsier Le Grande. We are already planning our next trip!

La Ferme aux Hirondelles is a beautiful house, obviously lovingly cared for. The owner is utterly charming and very helpful. The house is spotlessly clean, very well maintained with very comfortable beds, high quality bed linen and lovely fluffy towels. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bathrooms are modern with lovely showers and a jacuzzi bath. There are so many games for children and adults, all in excellent condition - table tennis and boules in the lovely garden, snooker, table football and so much else in the wonderful barn. There is so much to do and see in the area. Local towns make shopping very easy. We were six adults aged thirty eight to eighty, and three children, aged seven, ten and fourteen, we all loved the house, the garden, the barn and the area. There is something for everyone.

Gorgeous, completely authentic historic French farmhouse with such a special atmosphere. Very warm and comfortable. Owner extremely kind and helpful. Excellent value for money. There's plenty of crockery for lots of people - but take your own grater/ measuring jug/weighing scales if you want to do specific cooking! Delicious bread and cakes from village bakery which is about a 10 min walk away. Little bar in village where people were friendly to us. The play barn was brilliant - full size snooker table is certainly a challenge! Lovely open fire in the barn. We loved it and would recommend and go back.
