Beautifully restored and decorated, it makes a peaceful haven with all modern amenities, including under-floor heating and a terrace for outdoor meals. Nearby Rouffignac offers shops and restaurants, and Les Eyzies has lively markets with local farm products. The area is famous for prehistoric sites, with the caves at Les Eyzies, and the Lascaux Cave paintings, just two of the fascinating visits to make. The lakes of Tamnies and Fossemagne with their beaches are a short drive, and the valley of La Vézère is the place for canoeing. Also close by is historic Sarlat, with its many cultural events.
