Description

Enjoy a secluded setting and use of a 6-seater hot tub at this delightful cottage, within easy reach of Hereford.

In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, these fine 18th-century converted farm properties are reached via a private lane. They enjoy a peaceful secluded setting in the countryside set in the 3-acre grounds of the owner’s home, which includes a landscaped garden, woodland area and paddock, along with micro pigs and pygmy goats. The holiday cottages each have their own garden and enjoy shared use of a six-seater hot tub. Ideally situated for exploring Hereford and the black-and-white villages to the north. Ross-on-Wye, the Forest of dean and the Wye Valley to the east, and Hay-on-Wye, the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and Offas Dyke to the west. Village pubs serving good food locally. Shops and pubs 2½ miles.

Lovely place and very helpful owners. Water heater in single bedroom was noisy at night so we had to switch it off.

Fantastic little place, local garage has the best ice cream in the world! Loved the pigs and other animals. I especially liked shrek that you scrub his head then his side and he just falls over for his belly to be stroked and just instantly falls asleep! Gardens are beautiful, and loved walking round the woods with the Mrs and the kids. Recommend it to anyone tenfold.

Great cottage in a lovely setting with the added attraction of micro pigs and little goats as the bottom of the garden. A perfect escape.

A lovely relaxing holiday was had by all. The cottage was clean, comfortable and was very well equipped. Set in glorious countryside yet short drives to places of interest and quaint villages. The owners were genuinely friendly people and very accommodating. A visit to Pauline's studio was a treat, we could not keep away. Our granddaughter Poppy loved the pigs and goats and spent a fortune on pink lady apples to give them as treats even though we shouldn't feed them but Shrek (the pig) was not complaining neither did Fiona and Donkey. another week would have been great.

An absolutely wonderful cottage in a very peaceful part of the country. It had everything we needed and was great value for money, especially over half-term. Wi-fi would have been useful, but I gather that the rural location made that problematic. The big plus for our youngest was the animals at the end of the garden; she just loved stroking Shrek the pig and watching the goats and hens. We didn't use the hot tub, but the reports on it seemed very positive and the owner ran a lovely craft studio as well. All in all we had a great week and would recommend Knoll cottage to others who value a peaceful and beautiful location.

Absolutely lovely cottage. Had a great stay and excellent value for money. The owners are wonderful and on hand (including even phone charger disasters!) for any queries/issues. We all had an absolutely brilliant time in a lovely part of the world. Highly recommended.
