The area offers great walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing and golfing. The Forest of Dean has wildlife in abundance and many picnic sites, with Puzzlewood and Go Ape making for great day trips. Symonds Yat and Yat Rock, where peregrine falcons nest, are popular with climbers and offer stunning views down the Wye Valley. There are many places of historical interest to visit, such as castles, cathedrals and National Trust houses. Shop and restaurant 1½ miles, pub 1 mile.

Good cottage but a little isolated. Nowhere to walk in the evening as the road traffic was quite fast. Car needed to get to the local pub for the same reason. Early morning road noise may bother some people.

We had a super time in this adorable cottage,it had everything you needed and more. If you don't mind traveling to places this was a great base for so many attractions and days out. We would go back again.

Absolutely nice cottage, pretty garden. The first floor bedrooms are very good, both bathrooms are very good. The ground floor is well equipped, but has not a very cosy atmosphere. The cottage is adjacent to a traffic road with many lorries, starting at about 05.30 - 06.00 am. This kept us out of sleep regularly and is the major drawback of this cottage. It is the reason that we will not book here again. The location is quite near Hereford, which is pretty ideal.

Lovely property, welcoming owner. Delicious cake on arrival. Good sized lounge and kitchen/diner. Lovely patio. Master bedroom is a great size, other bedrooms small. Easy access to main road and lots of gardens to visit. Towns such as Ledbury, Hay on Wye and Ross - on - Wye are quaint and full of interesting shops. We found everyone was very friendly in Herefordshire.

The cottage itself was lovely. Nice and spacious, well equipped with plenty of hot water. A radio in the kitchen would have be nice though. Unfortunately what spoilt our stay was the close proximity of a B road that was well used at all times of day and night by not only cars but many large, noisy lorries too! This not only affected watching TV in the evenings but also interrupted our sleep. Not the peaceful country setting we were hoping for or that the pictures implied.

This was our third stay at this spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage. It is really well located for visiting all that the Wye Valley area has to offer. Symonds Yat and the Forest of Dean facilities including Puzzlewood and Go Ape are close by. There are also a fair number of National Trust properties within easy reach. There are worthwhile visits to Hereford, Ludlow, Ross on Wye, Hay on Wye and Abergavenny as well as many other smaller towns in the area. A couple of local pubs, the Three Horseshoes and the Kilpeck Inn provide good food and a local garage stocks everything you would ever need including what is probably the best and cheapest ice cream you will ever find! Pippin is heartily recommended for a visit to this area.

We had a fantastic week in Pippin. The owner was very welcoming without being at all intrusive. The cottage is spacious, a good layout and family friendly. Plenty of hot water and good showers. Great wifi signal for googling days out. Rural location but only 10 mins drive to Hereford for supermarket etc. Plenty to do in surrounding area.

We just stayed at Pippin for a week. We are a family of 4 with 2 children, another couple and their baby also joined us for the weekend. Cottage is very spacious and clean. Was really handy that all the basics were supplied by the lovely owners, tea, coffee, milk in fridge on arrival along with a lovely chocolate cake. Situated in a good location for exploring Hereford. Big downside for us was that we didn't feel the roads were safe enough to take a walk nearby so we had to use the car a lot. Very busy road during the week! Would not recommend if your a light sleeper and are looking for a week away to catch up on sleep! Other than that no negative points to mention.
