Just absolute Joy, peace and away from all the hustle and bustle of life. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone wanting to find peace for the spirit and completely remove themselves from everyday life. The hot tub was amazing followed by a log fire to finish the evening. Perfectly situated between the Lakes, Dales and Penines

Kitty's barn truly was a home from home holiday everything you could possibly need and more. It is set in idyllic surroundings, peaceful, relaxing and just what the doctor ordered. We can very highly recommend a stay at kitty's barn we did not want to leave

Great holiday in a fantastic cottage. There's loads to do nearby and it's in a great location to get around. The hot tub was lovely after a day out.

Kitty's Barn looks lovely when you open the door. The open fire is brilliant but unfortunately our stay was ruined by the shower which was either freezing cold or boiling hot, we dreaded using it. The leather suite has lost all its cushioning so not at all comfortable. It's only a short drive to Brough and Kirby Stephen, so there are lots of good places to eat.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback which we take very seriously. We are sorry you had problems with the shower which we were only made aware of by finding the comment you left in our guest book. We immediately and on the same day replaced this with a new electric shower. All guests should feel free to let us know of such issues as they arise. The barn was redecorated and renovated in January this year. Since your comments we have since stayed in the barn for 4 days to check all facilities work. We are sorry the sofa was not to your liking.

My husband and I visited Kitty's Barn for a relaxing break just after Christmas. He had just undergone a gruelling course of radiotherapy and chemotherapy then given the all clear ! We needed some where to regenerate and get close to nature . John was brilliant, helping us to make a real fire, advising us of nearby amenities. The barn itself was out of this world ! Beautifully furnished, clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing and very clean. It also snowed , which added to the beauty. There are some lovely walks, waterfalls and lots of things to see a short drive away. We will be going back in the summer so that we can paddle in the stream which runs past the barn and cottage .. lovely place . Highly recommended
