Kittiwake is a large and homely property in the centre of Port Isaac, ideally located for exploring the village and the surrounding area of Cornwall.

Located in the very heart of this picturesque fishing village, these cosy cottages boast many original features. Kittiwake (Ref: UKC229) has 3 en-suite bedrooms, a family bathroom, and well-fitted kitchen. The cottage has been furnished to provide a comfortable home from which to explore the many delights that this area of Cornwall has to offer. Kittwake Courtyard (Ref: W43585) is a former lobster pot store which has been thoughtfully converted to provide a comfortable holiday home with a sunny courtyard, in a secluded spot. This single storey cottage, adjacent to the owners’ home, is a wonderful place for couples who are looking to get away from it all. Set just a few yards from the working harbour of Port Isaac (made famous by the TV series Doc Martin), there are pubs, shops and restaurants galore right on your doorstep, including Nathan Outlaw’s fish kitchen next door to Kittiwake Courtyard.
Also close by are the coastal towns of Boscastle and Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur. Explore the South West Coastal Path and take in the breathtaking views across the Atlantic, or a short drive away are some of the most stunning sandy beaches. Padstow is a few miles down the coast. From Padstow you can access the Camel Trail, a cycle and walking trail along the Camel Estuary to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin. Also from Padstow, take the ferry across the Rock to sample some of the water sports that are on offer. Further down the coast is Watergate Bay, the home of kite surfing and Newquay, with its world famous surfing beach, zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium. Shop, pub and restaurant 20 yards.

    We would have appreciated greater clarity regarding the allocated parking space (we ended up in the municipal car park every night.) This is the first cottage we have stayed at (this no 9 to date) where there was no welcome pack provided. Also, no indication about nearest place to purchase said pint of milk in cottage info. Beds where small & very soft. But rest of cottage was very nice. The cottage really is in the middle of Port Issac but I the shared courtyard would not have been appropriate if we had brought our dogs on this holiday. There was no visitors book - which is normally a good way to gain local info regarding good walks & pubs etc. Lost Garden

    We had an excellent time, everything was as expected, beds were really comfortable. Position of cottage could not have been better, but oh the tiny roads how I wished I had a Harry Potter bus but still it gave the area it's character. We were busy trying to see other parts e.g. Eden Project etc., so it meant our week was over without having spent enough time in Port Isaac, so I would like to return to get to know the town itself. However, as a Doc Martin fan I will take pleasure at looking at the area I have been. Anyone thinking of going you will love it!

    Lovely cottage, perfectly located. The information in the cottage could be a bit clearer, particularly relating to the bins and parking for a second car. Port Isaac is a wonderful place

    It is in a great location right in the centre of Port Isaac. Parking is up a very steep hill but you can unload by blocking the street just outside the property. We had 2 cars so had to use the parking at the other end of th village and pay. Good property but a bit tired looking in places.
