There are several stately homes and National Trust properties in the area; Chequers, the Prime Minister’s country estate is close by, as is Great Missenden, with its curving high street of half-timbered houses and Georgian shops, and the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre. Marlow and Henley provide attractive access for riverside walks along the Thames Path. Aylesbury and other large towns including High Wycombe, Milton Keynes and Windsor are all less than 1 hour away. There is a fast 40-minute train link from Amersham into London’s Marylebone Station for those wanting a day out in the capital. Shop 2 miles, pub ½ mile and restaurant 1 mile.

We had a lovely time, we just wish the shower was bigger and the entrance to the shower by the utility room entrance was wider, I am a larger lady!

We had a lovely week at Christmas. A warm welcome from the owners with the heater on and a lovely Christmas cake and a bottle of milk and a bottle of bubbles in the fridge. Thanks you! The cottage was clean. The beds comfortable. Our dog was very happy in the garden. The location was great for us. We were only a fifteen minutes drive from our family in High Wycombe. London is very easy to reach. The Chiltern Hills are a beautiful area. We will certainly come back to this lovely cottage!

A really nice cottage in a lovely area. The photos don't do it justice. Very clean and everything in good condition. The only thing I think could improve it would be an open fire for winter. Also would have been handy to have a travel cot there but there was a high chair which was helpful.

A lovely comfortable cottage perfectly positioned for our family visits. The beautiful, fenced garden is perfect for children or just sitting out in to enjoy the quiet Bucks countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.
