    Very nice place to stay, starting from the off with freshly backed cupcakes left for us. Set over 3 floors the accommodation is nice and well appointed. The extra living room on the 1st floor would be excellent if you have older kids. A couple of minutes walk from Southsea beach and pier, you can also easily walk into Southsea and Southsea Common. I'd say you could probably walk to Portsmouth dockyard too but our kids we too young for that distance. Easy to get out to motorways for days out too. Provided a great base for our holiday.

    Perfect location - easy to explore local area. Local public transport on door step. So much to see & do. Would definitely stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

    This is a good base from which to explore the local area. Comfortable accommodation with all the facilities you need. Outside space is not pretty but as a base this is not a problem.

    Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. I presume the comment was relating to the walled front garden which we agree is largely unkept. In the front garden area we only own our parking space with rights of way across the rest of the garden.

    Very clean, dog friendly, close to beach & takeaways! Very quiet, despite neighbours both sides. Welcomed with a delicious cake & milk.

    The upstairs floors were noisy, but this may be standard with a modern house. Thicker underlay might help? General shortage of serving dishes. Chopping board? No switch for landing light on ground floor so we had to go up in the dark. Hall light packed up. Neighbour tried to nick parking place but retired defeated seeing me in the doorway! This worked very well for us being very close to our son's house, and to seafront walks. Local convenience stores very convenient and we were comfortable.

We are surprised by the guests comments as despite providing our contact details in advance, which they used on arrival, and us asking that we be contacted if any questions or issues during the stay, and providing a comments and a suggestions book on exit we heard absolutely nothing from this set of guests. There is of course a chopping board (actually two), stair lights can be controlled from floor above as standard in modern houses, if a bulb had gone it could simply be swapped from another such as a bedside lamp or if called we would have changed it. We have not had any other complaints regarding the neighbour parking in the private space so I can only think that it must have been a visitor that was unsure where to park? The comfort of our guests is important to us and we ask that guests contact us if they have any problems.

    Beautiful house, owners very thoughtful they left us a lovely coffee cake, dog treats. The house is very welcoming it was like going from home to home, we will definitely book to stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone.
