My 3rd visit to Kingfisher Cottage and as good as ever, despite the 'Beast From The East' meaning I didn't get out so much. The cottage was very cosy and I didn't bother with the wood burner. The wifi meant I could keep in touch with the outside world too. Everything I needed was provided and everything was clean. I'd like to thank the owner for her kindness at the end of my holiday. She was very understanding and it was much appreciated.

Smashing little fishing village and lovely cottage overlooking the sea, great for walks along coast and into the harbour. Just about perfect place to stay.

The cottage is lovely and the views are wonderful. However there were problems. The locks on both of the downstairs doors were faulty and in my opinion need replacing. They jammed so that the doors took several minutes to open. This could be lifethreatening in the event of a fire The bathroom window should have a blind. Opaque glass is in my opinion not sufficient especially as the cottage is situated directly opposite a pub. The blind in the master bedroom does not work properly.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday and thank you for your review. The sea air can cause the locks to stiffen over time; however we do keep them regularly oiled. On checking the locks after your visit, they were all fully working however; we have oiled them again anyway. As a note regarding the fire exits, there are 3 exits through doors and 5 exits through windows in case of a fire. For the size of our little fisherman's cottage this provides many more fire exits than would be expected. The blind in the master bedroom was found to be working and fully functional.
