Access to the countryside from a footpath next to this Grade II listed cottage, is just ideal for dog walking, as well as the coastal path which is close by.

This charming Grade II listed cottage lies in the old village square of St Columb Minor. Kimberly House combines traditional Cornish character with modern comforts. In the large enclosed garden there is a games room with a table football and a patio with picnic bench and sitting-out area. The village has its own pub, church and shop and sits only 1 mile away from the sandy, family friendly beach of Porth. A footpath leading to the countryside, ideal for dog walking, starts opposite this terraced holiday cottage. At Porth beach you will find a café and a pub both looking out over the sand. With Newquay’s seven beaches and Watergate Bay’s 2 mile stretch of golden sand, surf schools are a plenty. For food lovers, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant is a must. Other activities close by include horse riding, sea fishing, golf, zoo, sea life centre and the coastal footpath. A little further afield lies the traditional working fishing harbour of Padstow where Rick Stein’s food empire resides. The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are also within easy reach. Shop ½ mile, pub 100 yards.

Lovely holiday in a lovely cottage. Parking was a bit of an issue but the cottage itself was lovely. Would have been nice to find some double sheets to fit the beds once they were zip locked. Very close to Newquay and only a short walk to Porth beach which was quiet and beautiful in October. Great pub with nice food just up the road, but the house has everything you need to eat in too. We would definitely visit again.

This cottage doesn't disappoint, well located for Newquay, porth and surrounding areas. Great for families with children, Exceptionally comfortable, welcoming & spacious for all 7 of us. Pub up the road selling good food & local shop both walking distance. As with other comments parking can be a problem... there's unloading space & plenty of areas for parking within a short walk. Needs a sharp knife & large pan. Downside we couldn't find the playroom key

This was a lovely cottage, location was perfect and close to most attractions as well. The only thing I would say is they could do with investing in some non stick saucepans.

Had an amazing week there . We took our two Staffies and they loved every minute of it . Garden is a good size .Got a Trampoline in it and a Games room in a wooden Summerhouse . We went with 6 Adults and the Cottage has got everything you need and was big enough for all of us . The Pub is only a few meters away and its only a 10 Minute walk to the Beach . Also the area is quiet so it is ideal for relaxing . The Lady who lives next Door is ever so nice and helpful . We would all highly recommend this lovely cottage and we certainly would return.

We absolutely loved staying at Kimberley House. This was our second time staying here and we would definitely stay again. Location to shops and pub was brilliant and the house was very comfortable. Very happy.

We have stayed here on numerous occasions and absolutely love it!! The cottage is situated in an ideal location for touring the Cornish peninsula, and is in a quiet village setting. The institute located near the cottage is ideal as they are very friendly. We have booked again for next year!

Perfect cottage for us (2x couples with a toddler each). Well equipped, very comfy beds, much bigger than it looks in the photos. Fitted stair gate a real bonus as was the trampoline in the large garden. A short drive to all of Newquay's beaches which are stunning. We didn't try the local pub but it apparently has cheap pub grub. The only downside was that you could rarely get a parking space out the front, but there was a free church car park a short walk away and it wasn't a problem even with small children. Next time we're in Newquay we would definitely stay here again.

Lovely cottage everything you could need the only small drawback is parking we were lucky enough to get a space every day but if not there are options but it is always easier to park at your location obviously especially with children

An absolutely lovely house to stay in! Everything was in there that you could want, everyone was catered for, from a new baby to grandad! Trampoline in the garden, the games house at the bottom of the garden had plenty more things in. The neighbours were lovely too. Location is fantastic, great base to set out from, in any direction. 3 miles from Newquay beach, with plenty of parking available. Padstow was 25mins drive, and well worth a visit. Even to go to St.Ives, it took only 45/50mins. We had my 5yr old granddaughter with us and we went to Crealys theme park. Lovely day, plenty fo do, she had a great day. That was 25mins drive to Wadeworth. A little tip, book online the day before you go and you get a good discount! The Oasis Fun pool, on Hendon Caravan park is worth a visit, a great time was had by all, but phone to check its not to busy with park guests. It does have parking outside, but it is only small and always full. We were in a mini bus and fortunately for us, we parked opposite the house by the building site, as the entrance wasn't being used. The Farmers Arms pub is directly up the road from the house. Very family and pet friendly. Food fabulous, but huge portions! As you can tell, we all enjoyed are stay. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.
