This beautiful property offers stylish accommodation for six guests who can enjoy a lovely stroll along the nearby coastal path.

Set in historic Warfleet, just half a mile or so from the centre of Dartmouth. Built in 1819, this famous Grade II listed building has previously been a paper mill, a bakery, an outstanding brewery and, most recently, The Dartmouth Pottery. Now sensitively redeveloped, Kiln House is one of nine beautiful apartments and eight superb town houses created in the adjacent landscaped grounds. Just a minute’s walk from the South West Coastal Path leading through the woods out to the castle, and a 15-minute stroll along the riverside into town, with its many restaurants, shops and galleries.

Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5’), futon (for alternative sleeping only), satellite TV, DVD. En-suite Shower Room: double size shower, basin, WC. Bedroom 2: Double bed (4’6"), satellite TV, DVD. En-suite Bathroom: bath with shower over, basin, WC. Stairs to Second floor. Bedroom 3: Double bed (4’6"). En-suite Bathroom: bath, shower cubicle, basin, WC.

    Would have helped to have instructions on wifi and sky tv. Also not a complaint but just an FYI there is a small leak from the base of the shower unit in the first floor en-suite significant to cause damage if left unchecked I think.

    We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed that the house had some things not working. The main setting in the oven was not working, the curtain rail in the main bedroom was about to fall off the wall, the door into the top room had a broken handle and the bathroom door did not shut in that room. There was mould in the showers and some light bulbs and batteries in remotes had ceased to work

    Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. Any problems we have been made aware of we have looked at, regarding being unable to use the induction cooker which upon testing, the oven switch was found to be working perfectly. It is a quality induction appliance in good working order and has never been reported as faulty before or since. There appeared to be a problem with curtain rail and indeed a door handle had been broken resulting in one bathroom door being unable to be shut properly during the high Season. Having said that there are three en-suite bathrooms and all are well designed, spacious with quality fittings. The property has also been fully refurbished as always at the end of the Summer Season. With regard to batteries in a remote and a few light bulbs out, our Housekeeping Staff do their utmost to check these matters but occasionally a light bulb will blow whilst in occupation etc. but there are always plenty of lights within the property for one or two not to make a difference, similarly remote control batteries dying is an inconvenience but there are normally spares kept in the kitchen and we will endeavour to make sure occupants are aware of this. Outside of these matters the house is very clean and excellently furnished, in excellent decorative order and in a wonderful location and as per our other reviews. Our housekeeping team are normally very good at putting matter right within a quick time frame but occasionally trades persons are not always available at short notice between a one day changeover. I do apologise for these niggles, it is a lovely house but like all properties things do go wrong occasionally.
