A wet week in February could not spoil our trip to the Lakes. We found the cottage to be extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. The kitchen was well equipped, including a clothes rack to dry out our very wet clothes. As mentioned in a previous review, the settings on the gas oven are a little difficult to sort out but we managed. After a long day walking it was nice to come back to a warm cottage with a relaxing upstairs lounge area and the choice of a shower or bath. The central heating is set to come on and off automatically and you can extend it if needed. There are walks a short drive away, or drive to Keswick to explore the town and lake areas. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely cottage and our arrival was met with a very warm and friendly personal welcome, helping us feel instantly at home. Unfortunately our trip coincided with very heavy sustained rain but the cottage was extremely comfortable and attractive with outstanding views from the upstairs sitting room. Delicious biscuits were a much appreciated added extra, as was the milk in the fridge. We enjoyed a relaxing few days and would definitely return.

Wonderful view from the front windows. Ideal base for a Lake District holiday and within easy distance of the sea and Hadrian's Wall. Clean and comfortable, with a nice large kitchen and en-suite bathroom to main bedroom.

A great location for exploring the northern Lakes and enjoyed many evenings watching Skiddaw change colour as the sun was setting from the upstairs living room. Well equipped kitchen but the oven temperature dial was partially rubbed off so made cooking tricky! Great little cottage.

We had a fantastic week at Kiln Hill Cottage. The cottage itself is beautifully cosy and very well equipped, with gorgeous views of Skiddaw. The location was perfect for us, being close enough to Keswick and all the beauty of the northern lakes.

A wonderful cottage in a lovely location, owners were very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that the double bed mattress was far too hard for us, but that is a very personal thing and others may find it perfect!
