My wife and I stayed their for 3 nights. Despite the weather the cottage was warm, cosy, clean and well equipped with all necessities thought of. Certainly recommend for couple or a small family visiting the Lake District. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A nice cottage, well situated for Keswick and surrounding area. Stayed on a chilly weekend but central heating very efficient as was the wifi which previous reviews had questioned. Dog walks from door and enclosed garden area. Ate out each day, golden retriever accompanying us, at Snooty Fox and Sun Inn, both providing good pub food and welcoming. Overall, very good value.

Fantastic cottage, very clean and comfortable :) cot and highchair provided. And lovely little garden (with bbq & picnic table) Beautiful scenary from cottage and very quiet (away from road). It's a short, pleasant drive to keswick and cockersmouth for a bit more hussle and bussle.

Very well equipped and clean cottage. It's sometimes hard to find a really good dog friendly cottage, but we were very pleased with Kiln Hill. The owners were very helpful and responsive.....buying a lower tog duvet, for example, as we had really good weather. You can tell that they have real pride in the cottage. There is now a brand new cooker, good knives and pans etc, plus wifi and Sky Freeview. Some good pubs close by, and dog walks from the door. Heating and hot water is easy to control. ONLY improvement we'd make is a king size bed, rather than double.

Kiln Hill Cottage was a great place to stay. A really unique design with the lounge upstairs but we spent most of our time in the spacious kitchen. Like others we struggled a bit with the temp of the oven and could have done with some nice chairs to sit in the sun (the bench is often in the shade) but other than that it was a perfect place to stay. The garden chairs were a big thing for us as we stayed the week of the fabulously hot weather which absolutely made the week! The pub 100yds away (the Castle) is a bit soulless and pricey. I would recommend the walk to the Sun Inn, Bassenthwaite which was lovely.
