All in all it is a lovely and cosy cottage with stunning views and we enjoyed our stay. This a cottage we would happily come back. There are minor comments though to make the stay even more enjoyable: - The ironing board needs a cover to be used properly - The airer is broken and needs to be replaced - Considering that we paid an extra £30 for the heating we would expect flexibility of use. February is a cold month and sometimes we came back at early afternoon and the log fire is not sufficient. Also we were too hot in the evening and adjusting the boiler is more convenient than turning down radiators. Apart from this it was excellent.

A return visit to Killantrae, and it lived up to expectations. House is very comfortable, and well equipped. Location is stunning, with views straight across Luce Bay to the Mull Of Galloway, evening provided spectacular sunsets. The easy access to the shore was great for the youngsters - the burn dam was re-engineered several times over the week. We enjoyed a day trip to Belfast as well as a trip to the Mull Lighthouse, Port Logan and Wigton the book town. A most relaxing holiday.

Stunning location with amazing sea views! A bit unusual having a shared garden but it did not prove to be a problem. Not ideal for young children but our dog loved it! A very happy holiday spot for us and our grown up family - many happy memories and we hope to visit again. Port William does have one grocery shop which is able to provide essentials but beyond that there is little else. Local restaurant 'The Clansman' is reported to have a good reputation, but can say from personal experience that the village pub is strictly for the bolder of visitors. If you are looking for sandy beaches then the nearest is at Monreith with Sandhead being a short car journey away.
