Such a great week away. We both loved it and so did our dog. Would recommend to anyone and will be returning.

Loved the views from the cottage and the location. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a second bathroom.

Property was well positioned with great view and had been furnished very nicely. Unfortunately the heating and water was not in our control and we paid extra which I think is poor. Also; dirty pan, tatty cushions, no shower curtain, no toilet rolls, or tea/ coffee. Poorly managed which took the gloss of a nice rental.

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry that your stay in Killantrae Burn Cottage did not meet up to our very high standards. We were very upset to read your review, unfortunately our usual caretaker was on holiday and we passed the work to an agency which was a big mistake. The heating is on for 3 hours in the morning and 5 hours in the afternoon. Please see our other reviews - we will be attending the property later this month to carry out the annual refurbishment.

This has been the third time we have stayed here, but its starting to look a little tired, and in need of a bit of a makeover. The location is fantastic, and is perfect for a chillout, not happy at having to pay nearly twice the normal weekly rate, because of half term, and then been asked to pay an extra £25.00 to have the heating on, which is uncontrollable, and comes on when you don't need it, and is off when you do!

For a relaxing holiday with beautiful scenery this cottage is a must, it's well equipped and very comfortable, the only negative is that the windows were dirty inside and out so your fantastic views were a little spoilt and the garden would have benefitted from some weeding. But otherwise a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely return.

This cottage has obviously been tastefully renovated, but the lack of day to day care is starting to show. It's starting to look tatty and its just the simple things that are letting it down. So, 3 out of the four lights in the hall don't work, others in the property are hanging out of the ceiling. The garden is just full of weeds and spoils what the owners have done with the sculptures. The front windows have the trim falling off and are missing on the inside of the bottom windows, the view from the back of the property is amazing, but you can't really see it as the windows are so dirty. The tv is broken and you have to switch it on from the socket, the remote has been taped back together and it's been like that for ages as there is a faded paper note telling you you have to use the socket. The cushions are all ripped on the corners, shabby chic or just shabby ? Don't get us wrong, this is still a nice cottage, but to be deserving of it's star rating it urgently needs a little tlc.

Great location, well appointed, media equipment needs reviewed as tv, dvd do not work, quite a few other maintenance tasks needing attended to, but overall enjoyable stay and would recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage - it is a very comfortable, a great base to see the area from and a calming place to watch the sea from on rainy days. The beds were comfy and the view from the bedroom facing the sea is wonderful. My only slight criticism would be that other cottages we have stayed in at a similar price have had better equipped kitchens and been more generous with soap etc. - it is a minor gripe but it would be a nice touch as the supermarkets are a bit of a distance away and the result is a slight lack of welcoming feel. Also more information about what to do in the area would be good - there is some, and again it is just a small point.
