A delightful cottage enjoying stunning views up to the Pap of Glencoe

Kentra Cottage is a delightful cottage located adjacent to the Dunire Guest House in the famous Glencoe village and enjoy’s stunning views up to the Pap of Glencoe. The accommodation benefits from being all on ground floor level and is tastefully furnished throughout. The shoreline of the delightful Loch Leven, with its fringe of loch side hotels where it is possible to enjoy a spot of lunch and a swim, is only a short stroll away Glencoe village itself has a few shops and a local museum situated in an old thatched croft house.

The area is a walkers’ paradise, as in addition to the awe inspiring beauty of the surrounding mountains, many over 3,000 feet and the natural home of the ’munro bagger’, the property is located near to the route of the "West Highland Way", a long distance walk (95 miles) from Milngavie to Fort William - in many parts, a truly breathtakingly beautiful route. This superb central location provides easy access to all that is on offer in this spectacular region of Scotland. Oban for example, with its many tourist facilities, is just 34 miles to the South and Fort William, the outdoor capital of the highlands, only 15 miles to the North. The region offers a  multitude of outdoor activities including walking, cycling, golfing, skiing, snow boarding, kayaking, climbing, diving, sailing and caving. There are many historical places of interest including the mighty Glencoe area itself, scene of the infamous massacre of 1692. Kentra is one of the best holiday cottages we've stayed in. Every modern convenience but retains the cottage feel. Exceptionally comfortable bed, and a lovely deep bath (take your bubble bath!) Perfect for relaxing after a days walking and exploring. The surrounding area is beautiful with plenty of walks for all abilities, including the Orbital Track which takes you to the Clachaig Inn. Glencoe Cafe is two doors down from the cottage, they serve delicious homemade food - the cheesecake is fab! I would definitely recommend staying here, in fact my parents have already booked up for next year, and we hope to be back too.
