Quirky cottage with lots of features. Ideal for families or groups with dogs. Very well equipped with everything we needed. Very nice week. Only thing that let it down was the garden, which in parts was very neglected. Play equipment and greenhouse need to be removed, as does the pond if not going to be maintained. Vegetation growing over the cottage needed serious cutting back as couldn't open some windows properly. If garden could be better looked after, the cottage would be stunning.

We had a lovely relaxing time at Keepers Cottage. It was lovely and spacious and there were some nice touches such as bread, eggs, butter and biscuits on our arrival. There are a few things that need renewing such as replacing the chaise lougue with a new one or a comfy large chair. When we talked to the housekeeper she was very helpful about fixing a couple of things but we didn't mind putting up with them while we were there and presume they would be fixed after we left. It was lovely having the garden gate open straight into the Forest of Dean for an easy walk to the pub.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. However the outside of the property is not being maintained and kept up to the standard that I have previously experienced with cottages 4 you.We were not able to use the areas outside. The outside furniture on both patios were dirty , the patio areas was unswept which meant that we were unable to use them. ( one set of furniture was covered with bird poo , leaves, etc) The larger patio set badly needed re staining and some chairs were damaged. The garden would be unsafe for children and climbing frame was dirty and looked to be unsafe. The window in basement was wrotten so when it was opened it almost fell out! There is not enough hot water for 7 people to wash and shower at the same time.

Loved the cottage, it is really well equipped and have a really nice, homely feel to it. Plenty of room for everyone and we all loved the bluebell woods right next to the cottage.

This was an unusual cottage but wonderfully located on the hillside overlooking the river Wye. Not the most luxurious or comfortable but very peaceful and beautifully located on a picturesque wooded hillside with a gate straight into the woods. There are lots of steps and level changes so not suitable for everybody.

A wonderfully cosy place to spend Christmas! The combination of the Aga and the wood burning stove meant no one really wanted to venture out much in to the sub-zero temperatures outside but the woods were fun to explore in the frost and mist. The paths straight up the hill are a bit steep and awkward but there is a gentler walk along the slope at the foot of the trees going towards the village. Kim and her team did a great job of decking the cottage out - with three Christmas trees and the table already set complete with crackers and a Yule log centrepiece. Very festive!
