Loved the cottage, it is really well equipped and have a really nice, homely feel to it. Plenty of room for everyone and we all loved the bluebell woods right next to the cottage.

This was an unusual cottage but wonderfully located on the hillside overlooking the river Wye. Not the most luxurious or comfortable but very peaceful and beautifully located on a picturesque wooded hillside with a gate straight into the woods. There are lots of steps and level changes so not suitable for everybody.

A wonderfully cosy place to spend Christmas! The combination of the Aga and the wood burning stove meant no one really wanted to venture out much in to the sub-zero temperatures outside but the woods were fun to explore in the frost and mist. The paths straight up the hill are a bit steep and awkward but there is a gentler walk along the slope at the foot of the trees going towards the village. Kim and her team did a great job of decking the cottage out - with three Christmas trees and the table already set complete with crackers and a Yule log centrepiece. Very festive!

We had a wonderful week in Keepers Cottage. It is a fantastic house and was well suited for us, being a family of watersport fans (we could launch our stand up paddle boards from the campsite just up the road for a small fee) and having a dog (there is a large enclosed garden split over many levels and a gate with direct access into the woods). We didn't use the basement as there was plenty of room elsewhere for us. The housekeeper was lovely and left us some eggs, butter, bread and milk on arrival which was appreciated. There was also sugar, condiments, oil, flour, stock etc in the cupboards which was also appreciated. The cottage is 10 minutes from Hereford and 15 minutes from Ross on Wye, both of which we enjoyed visiting. We didn't want to do much other than play games (great cottage for hide and seek!) and chill out so it was perfect. There is also a large selection of books, board games and DVDs. Fantastic place!

Our third time and the cottage is just as enchanting as the first time, lots of nooks and crannies for playing hide and seek, and the forest is literally on the doorstep. The deer visited every day. One twin bedroom is in the basement and a bit chilly so not so convenient for putting small children in but has its own shower room so is more private. Well eqipped large country kitchen and a lot of books and playthings for the children. Our grandchildren loved the piano and the cottage is far enough away from any neighbours that they could all join in with the tambourine and drum supplied.

We loved Keepers Cottage. It is quirky homely, set in a beautiful location. The information supplied at the cottage is outstanding, as is the library of books, DVDs and games. The wood through the gate from the property is just gorgeous and the dogs were so happy. Kids loved the garden and we loved the BBQ and lovely patio. The garden is quite overgrown which is a shame but didn't affect our enjoyment at all.
