It is a lovely cottage in a quiet village, ideal for exploring the New Forest. Just watch out for the low door frames! The pub at East End is a short walk from the cottage and serves excellent beer and food.

This was our first stay in a thatched cottage and set in a small lane in the heart of the New Forest meant that it was very quiete. The low windows made the interior very dark, a few small table lamps lit prior to our arrival would have made the whole place more inviting. We were concerned that it was very expensive and although the full occupancy was for four it would have been a little cramped for that number. It would have been nice to have received a call from the owner to check if we were okay and a problem with the dishwasher was left unresolved as their was no telephone signal in the cottage. We were elated when we found the master switch behind the toaster but this still meant romantic times spent at the sink. Top marks have to go to the shower room and the internet connection

Picture post card, ideal location, but furnishings and decor kneading replacing and updating. To bijou for four adults, never the less an enjoyable stay.

Jo's cottage provides an ideal location from which to explore the stunning beauty of the New Forest. The exterior of the cottage with its gorgeous garden are a pleasure to spend time in and we very much did! Our only real issue was with the cleanliness of the interior which felt very neglected in comparison to the outside. We had to clean the bathroom which was left a little grubby and the drawers in the bedrooms before we could put our clothes away for example. We just felt a little more care and attention would have made all the difference and we would have certainly booked to return.

The location is wonderful , and there are some very interesting historical places near by, especially the former military sites, and historical dock yard used in the 16th century. The cottage itself, you need a few days to get use to the low ceilings, it's good there are signs to warn you, but you get use to it. The garden is wonderful and full of birds and it's great to see bird feeders in the garden. The down side to the cottage is, it need a deep clean, with a steamer to get the build up out. It also needs a new set of equipment, such as washing machine. We had to put the pans in the dishwasher before using them. The heated floor in the bathroom is a really nice touch. So in summary it's a nice cottage and place just needs an update and clean up.

Great! Cottage could have been a little bit cleaner but overall very good indeed.
