Location was perfect and enjoyed our stay with a lovely garden. We do want to advise you however that upon arrival the cottage was not cleaned to a normal standard with hairs on carpets, in bedroom, ,tiles and cupboards around stove felt sticky. This review is no means a complaint but the person cleaning the cottage in our eyes did not do a good job, we took it upon ourselves prior leaving to clean where possible. Possible the cleaning is outsourced hence hopefully will wake up owners to make sure that cleaning is more that cleaning shower, toilet and leaving fresh towels ...... We would return to this nice cottage if we know that cleanliness is at a standard one would expect.

The cottage was in a pleasant location. We especially liked the wet room as we are older people and not having to climb into a bath for a shower was wonderful. We would have liked a few more instructions re TV and heaters (we did have the makers leaflets but lots to read)and where the kitchen light switches for reference behind the coffee machine. Also the nearest Petrol Station. These were minor setbacks and did not stop us from enjoying the week, lots to visit within a 6 mile radius and we found a very good pub for evening meals just 2miles away. Please thank the owner for a restful spot.

The cottage itself was really nice; a lovely house and garden. However, it just needs a bit of TLC - some cleaning and a redecoration wouldn't go amiss. Quite a small cottage for 4 people (dining in the kitchen would be an issue).

It is a lovely cottage in a quiet village, ideal for exploring the New Forest. Just watch out for the low door frames! The pub at East End is a short walk from the cottage and serves excellent beer and food.

This was our first stay in a thatched cottage and set in a small lane in the heart of the New Forest meant that it was very quiete. The low windows made the interior very dark, a few small table lamps lit prior to our arrival would have made the whole place more inviting. We were concerned that it was very expensive and although the full occupancy was for four it would have been a little cramped for that number. It would have been nice to have received a call from the owner to check if we were okay and a problem with the dishwasher was left unresolved as their was no telephone signal in the cottage. We were elated when we found the master switch behind the toaster but this still meant romantic times spent at the sink. Top marks have to go to the shower room and the internet connection

Picture post card, ideal location, but furnishings and decor kneading replacing and updating. To bijou for four adults, never the less an enjoyable stay.

Jo's cottage provides an ideal location from which to explore the stunning beauty of the New Forest. The exterior of the cottage with its gorgeous garden are a pleasure to spend time in and we very much did! Our only real issue was with the cleanliness of the interior which felt very neglected in comparison to the outside. We had to clean the bathroom which was left a little grubby and the drawers in the bedrooms before we could put our clothes away for example. We just felt a little more care and attention would have made all the difference and we would have certainly booked to return.
