A great touring base, with Selsey beach, Pagham Nature Reserve, the New Forest and Portsmouth within easy reach.

This barn conversion boasts many character features, including slate floors on the ground floor, beamed vaulted ceilings and part stone walls in the bedrooms, both of which have en-suite shower rooms. The pretty courtyard garden overlooks extensive open fields to the rear of the property. An ideal holiday retreat for couples or families, it is attached to the owner’s home and is situated along the road which leads from Chichester to Selsey beach, both a 10-minute drive. Pagham Nature Reserve, a haven for birdwatching, and Chichester Harbour, which offers boat trips around the coastline/harbour are also close by. A short drive away is historic Chichester, with its ornate cathedral, Festival Theatre, pedestrianised cobbled lanes, shopping, a leisure complex, tea rooms and many pubs/restaurants. Slightly further afield is Goodwood, famous for motor and horse racing. Fontwell Races, the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum and the sailing village of Bosham are also within easy reach. Discover the South Downs National Park, or enjoy golf, horse riding, cycling, fishing and sailing. Also within easy driving distance are historic Arundel castle and naval Portsmouth, with Spinnaker Tower, day trips to the Isle of Wight, shopping outlets and maritime history. The New Forest is slightly further, but within easy driving distance. Shop 1½ miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

A lovely cottage every need catered for, except for road noise which was understandable from previous comments but did not affect our holiday,

The cottage provided a great base to explore the Witterings, Chichichester, Pagham and the surrounding areas. Wonderful location for walking and beaches with plenty to keep the children happy.

The owner of Jolly Fisherman Cottage provided everything we could possibly need. The bedlinen and generous towels were especially lovely. We had a lovely stay.

We enjoyed our stay, found our host welcoming and helpful but as we have so many areas to visit are unlikely to return there. Traffic noise was a bit of a problem.

A great place to stay for a relaxing break, very well appointed and welcomed by the owner. The traffic noise from the road soon becomes part of the holiday and once accustomed to it does not spoil the holiday

We enjoyed a lovely few days at the cottage and were very happy with our choice. We have noted that one or two reviews have mentioned the noise from passing traffic and indeed it is there but in our opinion not so much as to overly detract from a really nice stay. The Crab and Lobster just a few minutes walk is an absolute must for fans of good food as is the Lamb in Pagham especially for lunch. The owner Pam lives next door and couldn't have been more helpful.

A well equipped cottage and nicely decorated. Owner welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, being located on a busy road was an annoyance. Very noisy and at times when lorries passed by shook the whole cottage. Also dangerous getting off and on drive due to the busy road. Great location for bird reserves and local restaurants very good.
