In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

Barn conversion ideal for a couple, with walking and cycling in the Dartmoor National Park. Fly fishing and beauty therapies are available.

Set amongst the beautiful and tranquil location of the Trout Fishery just on the outskirts of the ancient stannary town of Tavistock on the edge of Dartmooor National Park, these delightful holiday properties form a cluster of barn conversions set around a courtyard. This little complex is very child friendly yet retains peace and quiet. Each property shares the facilities, including the use of the large stunning oak outdoor gazebo complete with BBQ and servery area. There is also a large purpose built play barn set in a detached oak building, an outdoor fully enclosed children’s play area with sand pit, bunny corner and grassed basketball and football area. Outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy walking and cycling will love the rugged wilderness of the Dartmoor National Park and the market town of Tavistock with its farmer’s markets and Victorian antiques market. Situated on the Trout Fishery site, you may want to practice your fly fishing skills. The many deep, clear lakes are home to rainbow and brown trout (tackle and tuition can be arranged). For the children, there is a float fishing lake and tackle can be hired. Children will love the chickens, ducks and guinea fowl roaming in the farmyard, and they can feed the hens and collect the eggs every morning, and meet our friendly pot bellied pigs, miniature donkeys or the rabbits in bunny corner. Tavistock, 1 mile, has independent shops and lots of pubs and restaurants serving good home cooked food and real ales. Horse riding and golf can also be found locally. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub ¼ mile.

All on ground floor: Step up to living/dining room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet.

Travel cot and high chair on request. Freeview TV. DVD. Small terrace with patio garden. Shared sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (1 car).

An excellent cottage, although the bedroom is very cramped and the area behind the bed and the bedside cabinets had not been cleaned for a while judging by the cobwebs and dust seen.

I think the location is fantastic especially if you have children - as there were so many varieties of animals and you were allowed to feed them. However the welcome book made me feel uncomfortable - we were staying in her home (no, sorry, her business). Please take your shoes off and do not wear on the carpet in the bedroom. Strip the beds when you leave. I am sure that we would not have had washing up liquid if someone had not left some behind. There was no soap in the bathroom - I would have expected that at the least. Also no dishcloth!! I knew to take towels but there are certain other bare essentials all the other cottages we have stayed in have supplied. She was extremely friendly and welcoming in person but her handbook was not.

Lovely set of holiday cottages/apartments. The kitchen was by far the best equipped I have ever been to! Excellent location for exploring the local area. Easy to walk into town, or pub just opposite. Only down sides were being able to hear the man upstairs snoring because they're quite old houses and the ceilings / plug sockets could do with a quick dust.
