A cosy, well equipped cottage far enough from the Lake District crowds but close enough to enjoy the spectacular scenery. The owner provides everything you could ask for and the addition of Wi-Fi has improved an already excellent property.

Lovely quaint cottage in a great location for exploring the whole of the Lake District. Facilities within the cottage were good, a real, home from home. Lots of information on tourist attractions and walks, games, Bluray and wifi. Owners very accommodating. Overall a great place to stay with an abundance of things to do on your doorstep.

Jackdaw Cottage is well located for touring the south lakes and Barrow peninsular,it is well appointed and in a quiet location, probably more suited for couples than families,a great little bolthole.Although we had to leave early we enjoyed our stay.

Very clean and probably the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed at. Quiet location and local pubs very good. Probably best for 2/3 (or 2 plus two children) due to small second bedroom. Welcoming hosts, flowers in lounge and a bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival. Plenty of heating if needed.
