From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

Gated, detached farmhouse, for larger groups of family and friends, with stabling available, woodland walks and fishing lake.

Tucked away behind electric gates in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, this substantial 18th-century detached farmhouse has been recently renovated and is very well equipped, yet still retains all its charm and character. The spacious, bright and inviting accommodation featuring exposed brick fireplaces, wooden beams, galleried landing and lead light windows, plus all the recreational facilities on offer, combine to make this an ideal holiday experience. The well laid out and mature gardens with a well stocked decorative pond provides a secluded, attractive and relaxing environment. Within the grounds is private stabling for up to three horses available for guests. A further part of the extensive grounds comprise 30 acres of farmland including 8 acres of woodland with forest trail which boasts livery stabling and its own fishing lake complete with cabin. On the woodland walk there are several summer houses conveniently placed where guests can rest and take in the sights and sounds of the abundant wildlife to be found all around. Many of the region’s country estates and historic houses such as Tatton Park, Arley Hall, Dunham House and Gawsworth Hall, to name but a few, are within easy reach and a golf course is on the doorstep. The historic village of Knutsford offers an abundance of top class restaurants and cafes together with its individual shopping facilities along its narrow streets. The Cheshire Smokehouse in Wilmslow is well worth a visit. The airport is 5½ miles, Manchester and the Trafford Centre, 8 miles, Old Trafford cricket ground, 15 miles. Chester and Liverpool are 28 miles and the Peak District, with its stunning scenery and many attractions is only 20 miles. Wales or The Lake District can be reached in 1-2 hours. Shops and pub 1½ miles.

Very comfortable stay with very pleasant landlords who were easily contactable if there were any issues. We had plenty of fun in the games room and found the cottage to be very comfortable.

We had a lovely weekend celebrating my mums 60th birthday with family. A lovely house with all the equipment we needed to cater for us all. We enjoyed using the hot tub and games room and had nice walks in the surrounding area. The key holder Heather was very helpful when we needed to arrange collecting the key and when the electric gate broke she was very quick to get it fixed. A lovely big house to get family together in a central location.

We have young children (aged 5,3 and a baby) the cottage was an excellent choice for us. We received a very warm welcome on arrival, it was clean and warm and very welcoming. The games room was a fantastic space for the kids to let off steam and the house itself v well equipt and comfortable. We will definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic. Very welcoming (hampers and towels etc). Hot tub was perfect (even in the cold winter!). Games room was brilliant, and location was 15mins from Manchester city centre. Had a great time, and the owner ensured we were okay. The guys had a great reunion here and we will be definitely re-booking in the near future. I just want to thank the owners for a lovely cottage.

Great set up, thoroughly enjoyable. A few "buts" room roof leaks spoiling use of facilities and games room stove didn't seem to draw properly. Grill pan/rack ill fitting and no handle. Shortage of some kitchen saucepans etc. But hey what, what lovely rooms, bathrooms, hot tube etc. Yes we would go again.
