What a fantastic lodge. Full range of kitchen utilities, games etc. Had a fab stay here. Such a chilled weekend. There were 6 of us and plenty of space. Had a drive into Warkworth(approx 10 minutes away). Lovely little village. Have already booked the lodge again for the same time next year. Thank you to John and Carol for letting us spend a lovely weekend at Iris Lodge. Have recommended it to friends and family.

Great family accommodation. Plenty of space, great for kids, large garden, trampoline, Xbox, Wii, even karaoke. Jacuzzi bath massive. Good location for fantastic beaches nearby 10 mins. Wish we could have stayed longer😄

Excellent base for touring Northumberland, and within walking distance of a good sandy beach (although it is probably more convenient to drive there and park on one of the carparks near the beach). Accommodation was very well equipped for kids and adults (xbox and Nintendo wii, pool table and trampoline, WIFI and satellite TV). Co-op and chip-shop within walking distance and several good pubs within 5-10 minutes drive. Kitchen excellently equipped with American fridge freezer (including ice maker). Bedrooms large and spacious - enormous storage space for clothes. Well equipped with loads of towels and blankets. Enormous spa bath (could get four in) and two excellent showers. Home from home really. Family of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers) plus one golden retriever give the Iris Lodge 10 out of 10! We did something different every day - we knew before we arrived that we would be driving every day - but everywhere we went was within one hour drive, and many within 20 minutes drive. These included Lindisfarne, Berwick-upon-Tweed (including the millennium bridge, where it crosses from England to Scotland), several Heritage castles (including a falconry display), Cragside House (a Victorian house - the first powered by hydro electric power), Barter Books (one of the largest independent book shops, set in an old railway station), Hadrians wall sites, and many others - all these were dog-friendly places. There were several other places nearby we would like to have visited, including Alnwick castle and gardens, but they were not dog-friendly. All in all, for a base to visit the best that Northumberland has to offer, it is pretty perfect.

A fantastic home and such lovely owners. The place has everything you could want and more. The owners have left nothing to chance and it is so much more than a holiday let. I can't praise them and their premises enough. I can't believe all the extras that were in the lodge Thank you for a lovely time xx
