Lack of restaurants, pubs etc within walking distance and the hotel being closed was a disappointment.

Wonderful holidays with our baby and dog. The owners, Chris and Gillian, were amazing.

This was a lovely little cottage for one or two people, really cosy with the log burner and the bedroom was lovely. It's rather shabby chique on the outside with a handful of cottages associated with a large Georgian House at the front. I thought this was charming with a wealth of history and it seems the owners were doing quite a lot of work on the site. Inside the cottage was lovely, well equipt and cosy and a perfect holiday home. There was a bit of damp in corners here and there but that's just 300 year old buildings. The location was great for exploring the area and a real retreat away from hustle and bustle but with easy access to main roads. The cottage was 12 miles from Oban which was great as there aren't many amenities for miles and miles and miles but Oban has a Tesco, Aldi and Lidl and petrol station and ferry to Mull and was a bustling little town providing the provisions you need for your hol. This area is absolutely stunning with spectacular scenery with easy access to Glencoe, Kilmartin Glen, Mull and Iona etc. There are woods 5 mins away which were great for walking too and a short walk to the nearest loch. I had an amazing holiday despite not spotting any eagles or otters.
