A nice private location on a farm. Ideal for what we wanted and close to the coast, ideal for dog walking. Owners were very pleasant and helpful.

What an absolutely amazing bungalow. We have stayed in lots of properties which have not been anything like the description on the site, often they are run down and basic. This bungalow had everything you could need to feel at home and relaxed. We we greeted by the owners who had left a welcoming gift for us, put the hot tub on so we could use it right away and could not do enough for us. We took the dogs with us as it said it was dog friendly which, in other places means they let you have a dog in the property. This one was different as even the dogs were catered for with bowls, balls, poo bags and treats. We wanted a relaxing weekend away and this is what we got. We would love to stay for a week sometime as it will be even more amazing in the summer when you can make use of the decking area and large, enclosed garden. The bungalow itself was immaculate unlike a lot we have stayed in. Definitely recommend this one. Thank you Karen and Thomas.

The cottage was cold and not very clean, cobwebs around coving and behind the TV. The washing machine dispenser draw was full of mold. The condenser drier had not been emptied. The rendering on the wall in the back garden had come off on the floor and had not been cleared up. The outside light did not work, so it was hard to see the dogs doing their duty, therefore i had to go on a poo hunt once light. The business next door had something running during the night which was very noisy. Out and around the immediate area was not suitable for walking the dogs as there were no footpaths and cars were travelling up and down the road at 40 to 60 miles per hour.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- The cottage has full gas central heating and a log fire, guests have full control of the heating, if the log fire is on, then normally guests will turn the heating down, or just rely on the central heating, the cottage should never cold. I have 2 cleaners and both were horrified by this report, as we aim to be better than our guests expect. There were no cobwebs, the washing machine, looked like it had not been used for a while to be fair, this has been rectified, the condenser dryer is emptied every time it is cleaned and prepared for the new guests. We do a walk around the property to check all is clean and tidy, there was no plaster on the floor then, as soon as we noticed it, it was cleared up. We bought a brand new hot tub a few months ago to seat 7, the new hot tubs are more energy efficient and instead of being on 24/7 (when not in use) the hot tub comes on every few hours to heat and circulate the water, this is the only sound on the farm at night, certainly not any one working, our holiday guests always come first. The country lanes, as you have pointed out, there are no pavements. I have no control on the speed that vehicles do, the majority are tractors, and we have 4 acres of fields that you are welcome to walk in, public footpaths and a beach nearby. We have several repeat bookings from guests last year, we have more reviews in the guestbook, all of which are glowing, and that is how we want everyone’s stay to be. We hope you enjoyed the complimentary prosecco and food left for you, as well as the many extras.

We had an amazing relaxing time at Invergordon. The owners were wonderful and provided everything you could need. The hot tub was a big selling point to us and didn't disappoint. There were 5 of us on a girly weekend. We were so impressed with the place and the space and decor was gorgeous, not to mention all the little extras we found like washing powder and dishwasher tablets!! Who wants to stand doing the washing up when you're away hey. Great stay! There is really nothing to go against this place. If looking for somewhere peaceful and quiet and in the middle of nowhere, this place is ideal. The nearer pub is a good 5-10 min drive. Loved it. Thank you

On arrival the heating was not working which was fixed in the morning and this proved to be an on-going issue which I think was going to be fixed as we left on the Friday. This didn't really affect us much as it did work but was very awkward to control. When we put things in the fridge, had to clean it before we did this as this had not been cleaned thoroughly. The location is 10 miles away from Blackpool but this didn't prevent us from enjoying our stay and getting about. The great thing about this property is the hot tub which we really enjoyed and used (in October) every night except one. The only reason that we would not stay here again is that we probably won't go back to Blackpool and if we did we would like to investigate other properties.

suprised to see how close to the owners you are moreorless in the back garden. the hot tub was empty on arrival with no explanation and was only filled on saturday and therefore was not hot enough on sunday so no hot tub available. but a very comfortable stay.
