Very spacious. Comfortable furniture. Enough room for 6/7 people but only one bathroom. The kitchen needs to be refurbished. The worktops were not in good condition and felt sticky. The oven was disgusting and needed a thorough clean! Plenty of room to dry out wet clothing. The cottage is very dark. Good wifi.

Response on behalf of the owner. Thank you for your comments. Appreciated both good and bad. If you had let us know your concerns at the start of your holiday we would have immediately arranged to have them addressed. We have recently changed housekeepers which hopefully will resolve any cleaning problems we may have had. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The cottage is advertised is a 17th century property and as such we can do little about natural light however there are 68 light bulbs in the cottage to lighten the property.

Great location but cottage in need of some TLC. Considering the cost there are too many short cuts taken by the owners to make this value for money. Other properties in this price range offer much more and usually have welcome packs. Aware that's complimentary and not essential but we had to replenish basic necessities like toilet rolls, tea towels, washing up liquid, bin bags, matches, kindling for the fire. Don't really go on holiday to go shopping.
