The Southern Upland Way (500 yards), Glentrool 7 stanes mountain biking and visitor centre (2 miles), and ideally located for the Dark Sky Park, near Galloway Forest, this is an excellent walking base with world class mountain biking. At Glentrool, spot red squirrels, deer and maybe a golden eagle. Fishing and golf in the area, with riding close by and water sports at Loch Ken. Shop 10 miles, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
