Martin, Ronnie, Mandy and Jenson were very friendly, welcoming and generous with the welcome pack! The accommodation was first class with a really well equipped kitchen and living area. We'll definitely come again.

We LOVED staying here. The photos do not do it justice as it is far bigger than it looks. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped, there was nothing missing! The beds were wonderfully comfortable and so much effort went into making us feel welcome. Even our dog was welcomed with a bed, bowl and treats :D. The grounds were gorgeous, with deer to greet us each morning. A short journey to Brighton. The family were very friendly and helpful! We'll be definitely staying again!!

We loved this apartment. The setting was lovely with deer in the surrounding grounds. It was very well equipped and all the fixtures and fittings were of the highest standard. The owners were very helpful and welcoming without being intrusive and left us a lovely welcome pack including fresh eggs and a bottle of wine. The surrounding countryside is lovely too, with many National Trust properties, and the south coast is not far away. One of the best cottage breaks we have had.

I cannot recommend Horncombe highly enough. It is quiet and private, and my husband and I could have stayed forever instead of the five weeks we spent there. Our hosts, Martin and Ronnie, gave us a warm welcome and made sure we didn't want for anything. The living space was super-clean, fully-equipped and it had obviously been built and stocked with care and an eye for quality. It was a true home from home for us, and we will remember Horncombe and its owners fondly.

Horncome Stables are surrounded by beautiful grounds. In the morning you can watch white deer from your windows. Martin (the owner) gave us a very warm and friendly welcome and showed us around in the cottage. Everything is very clean, up to a high standard, tastefully furnished with attention to detail - one can really feel at home from the very first moment. A wonderful welcome basket with breakfast stuff was siiting on the kitchen worktop. We absolutely loved it and if we need accommodation again in this area Horncome Stables will definitely be our first choice.

Gorgeous location, superbly fitted out cottage, lovely friendly owners. Arriving to a basket of breakfast goodies; waking to the sounds of the herd of wild deer; children running wild in the woods in the evenings - all in all a lovely stay. We were in the area to visit old friends, but wish we'd had more time to just stay in and enjoy the property and the grounds.

This upper conversion of Stables provided us with a relaxing sanctuary. It has been well thought out and provided us with everything we needed. It was extremely well equipped and it was so nice to be provided with a plentiful supply of cleaning products. The beds were really lovely and comfortable . It had a lovely light airy feel to it with lots of large velux windows with beautiful views out to the woods and fields with ponies ( and deer). A warm welcome awaited us on our arrival and the owners could not have been more helpful throughout our stay. We appreciated it being a dog friendly property and what a welcome for doggies, a jar of treats, a lovely dog bed, a ball and a big bowl of water. The walks directly into the woods were perfect. We know the area well and it has plenty for everyone. Lovely National Trust properties nearby, super walks, pretty villages and good pubs etc. A day trip to London is an option with the nearby station at Haywards Heath. Our grandson enjoyed his visit too. We would definetly book this property again.
