This my first really mixed review, there are certain elements that are not made clear in the initial cottage description, there is a washing machine but it is shared, needs to be paid for and is tucked away with no clear instructions within the property of its location. The house is early 20th century and has an incredible history and is a listed building, some of which a neighbour imparted (it would have been nice to have had some information within the property)but it has been split into separate units some overlapping so footsteps above can be a bit disconcerting until you realise. We had problems when we realised the oven wasn't working but there is a wonderful caretaker, Vincent, who came out immediately to fix it, when it failed again we returned to the cottage the next day to a brand new cooker. The garden is shared and the walk down the lane to the beach is quite steep....certainly seems longer coming back.....the beach is huge but quite muddy in places so I'd recommend wellies, for children at least! Angelsey is fantastic lots of dog friendly beaches, trips to Puffin Island a must, crabbing off Beaumaris pier, Benllech beach is the perfect family seaside.

Been twice to this cottage now. Love this accommodation. Great for kids and adults of all ages. Nice and clean and very big. Beds comfy. Can't wait to book again for next year.

Honey Suckle is a lovely holiday property in an idylic setting on the Anglesey coast. The cottage will comfortably sleep up to eight people and the bedrooms are very well appointed. I stayed here with my husband and our two dogs. The only downside to this property is the kitchen. It is small , with no suitable surfaces for preparing food and would be very difficult if more than one person was in there.

The cottage is pleasant but not what unexpected . Its very out dated and the crockery was dirty the couches ripped at the back and the electric Meter already had money in thankfully but still had to put in. I do feel cottage expensive enough. the television didn't work or the heater in front room. Not what I expected. But we enjoyed our time out

We were not informed about the electric meter and having come all the way from France were found to be in complete darkness due to not having any pound coins!!! The pots were dirty and we had to wash them before use. (we only cleaned what we used)

Honeysuckle accommodated 3 generations of our family and the dog over Christmas quite adequately. In hindsight we should have booked a slightly bigger place, but we hadn't anticipated the awful storms that meant we couldn't get out and explore the numerous wooded footpaths and the beach as much as we had planned. The kitchen, even though rather small had enough pots, pans, dishes etc for us to create our Christmas dinner for 9 and there were even bowls for the dog! The beds were very comfortable, plenty of towels, lots of storage (except for in the kitchen) and enough dining and sofa space for all of us. On the downside the dining table was wobbly, the sofas smelled a bit fusty and the sleeping arrangement with 2 double beds in one room was a bit tricky, especially with it also being the access to the upstairs bathroom, and had I not read the reviews prior to our visit we would never have found the washing machine or worked out how to set the central heating, so an up to date leaflet would have been appreciated. We didn't use lots of £1 coins in the electric meter as stated on some of the reviews, again instructions in a leaflet would alleviate the confusion about this. We did have a couple of problems on arrival with the shower, vacuum cleaner and lightbulbs and considering the time of year, the landlord did an excellent job of sorting them out very quickly. The property could do with a bit of minor maintenance but we would definitely stay at Honeysuckle again.

Nice area but a little too far out and the single track lane a bit off putting, we had great weather thank god as the house had radiators which we were not able to use which meant the house was damp and cold at night, and to avoid this we would have to spend a fortune in pound coins for the slot meter. I would have preferred to have had a fixed price agreed for electricity and heating up front to avoid this problem.
