Utility room was too small & there was no tumble dryer. Also the lack of a true step at the top of the stairs was quite dangerous.

close to a busy road, once you get used to the traffic noise a restful stay.

Good base for exploring area. Made use of pocket park and ride into Nottingham and local coffee shops and pubs for eating. Relaxing and peaceful but close to lots of things to do. Many good places to visit within easy reach. Cottage had most of what we needed for the week and a friendly and welcoming host. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We only stayed two nights and it was just a place to sleep really. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage very clean but the lack of a wash basin in the two toilets was not good we felt. It wasn't homely in that there were no pictures on the walls or ornaments etc which make a house feel like a home. I think the owner who we met and was very friendly and pleasant may well be in the process of adding these touches. The kitchen was rather dark, better lighting would be an improvement as would the positioning of the fridge as it was awkward to get at. All small things but overall it was a nice enough place to stay.

The double bed is not very comfortable. The rest of the cottage was great.

Close to noisy and very busy road. Lovely views from upper floor. Not overlooked, big plus point! Cooker hood with adequate lighting in kitchen would have transformed the stay; I couldn't reach to open window whilst cooking or see to do most things in the evenings. Lots of space. Would certainly try one of their cottages further from the road, assuming they were to fit WIFI before my arrival. In this day and age it is essential.
